    SNAP..Was discussing with my mate today about the Peterhead "Urban Peregrines" have'nt been seen for a few weeks now...touch wood!

We have our AGM this Sunday and a few clubs are proposing new Lib sites,the sites are Lauder,Budwith,worksop,and Witton Park.I was just wandering how Liberations have gone from these sites,also i was led to believe that Witton Park was closed for a couple of years for renovations.Is this true?.

This afternoon my 8yr old daughter and i visited The Loch of Strathbeg nature reserve,when we entered the observation point there was a RSPB rep going round explainig to families about the birds at the reserve.She then approached us and started to inform us about the wildfowl,at this point my daughter was looking through a telescope at all the birds,i then turned the conservation onto BOP and asked which species have been sighted there,she replied marsh harrier,sparrowhawk,merlin,hobby and the peregrine falcon,at that point my daughter turned and said in quite a loud voice"MY DAD HATES PEREGRINES THEY KILL HIS PIGEONS"the rep then immediatly moved onto the next family.

Approx 570 birds were liberated from Consett at 10:30.Clear blue sky and a light west wind,birds cleared north in one batch.I would like to say a big thank you to all that have helped me throughout a very hard season with line of flight and home end weather updates.Also thanks to our convoyer Dave Barrie for the care and safe transit of our birds.Congratulations to all Fed winners and GOOD LUCK for today.
