  6. Lets start a captive breeding programme.THE PIGEON FANCIERS EAGLE OWL TRUST.
  7. Approx 800 birds were liberated from Arniston at 08:15. High broken cloud, sunshine and a fresh south wind. GOOD LUCK.
  8. Conditions at lib site and across Forth unsuitable at the moment.
  9. I would like to ask North fed members to refrain from useing this thread for discussions,it is for basketing and liberation details, i suggest you start you're own topic. We don't want anyone being delayed scrolling through all the replies for liberation details.THANK YOU.
  10. Another update will be posted on Friday at 12:30.
  11. On race day 9 times out of ten you get birds arriving on the time they are expected, then you get gaps of half hour sometimes between birds, some folk have good returns, some not so good, and some crap, all from the same race.Once you put hundreds of miles between the pigeon and its loft things start to get worse, WHY?. simples, more percy to come through.
  12. So what you saying George? 5 inland nationals.
  13. It would be very interesting and an eye opener to those who speak about clashing, mobile areals etc,if we could arrange a cencus for every club/federation to report the number of birds that have returned with peregrine strike injuries over one racing weekend. There is no doubt in my mind that the peregrine is killing our sport.I don't think changing our racing or breeding season is going to have any impact whatsoever,i witnessed one chaseing a magpie and also one after a feral, the feral outwitted the peregrine but percy just turned and plucked a kittywake from the sky. They will take anything they think they are cappable of carrying. What is a fckn disgrace is putting nest boxes in town and cities for these things and giving them a name "the urban peregrine".
  14. Good to see some credit. ::Well done to all involved.
  15. As Paul says, unarmed man.
  16. I seem to recall a lib line update stating "THE NEXT UPDATE WILL BE WHEN THE BIRDS ARE LIBERATED, END OF MESSAGE".
  17. No, i have to update lib line on a thursday night for birdage numbers and an update time for Saturday morning.Who is on about wind direction?
  18. Ok Harry i can understand that, but when weather conditions are set to change for the worse for half the fed i think i am well justified to go slightly earlier,i have to make these estimated liberation times on a thursday evening.I have no objetions for anyone to call me on a Friday night if they have any concerns about lib times.
  19. Get a grip man, birds went up 30min before lib line update time,so by my estimation of a 2hr race for you guys that gives you an hour and a half to walk you're 8 miles.
  20. AYE YOU'RE RIGHT, CAN NEVER PLEASE SOME FOLK.
  21. DO THEY WALK THE 7 OR 8 MILES? GIVE A LITTLE CONSIDERATION TO THE NORTH FLYERS WITH HEAVY THUNDERY SHOWERS FORECAST PM.THERE'S A JOB GOING NEXT YEAR, GET YOU'RE NAME FORWARD!!!.
