  3. Approx 550 birds were liberated from Arniston at 07:30. Broken cloud, sunshine and a fresh south wind. Birds cleared well in 1 batch.GOOD LUCK.

  9. 2 big batches maybe 500 or so were seen going over Peterhead approx 12 mile south of Fraserburgh at 10:55.
  10. Last i heard at 10:45 they were'nt away yet, low cloud closing in.

  13. Your bird has possibly flown 3 times that amount of miles.Plus a bird reported in Ireland, they have been burst up.IMO.
  14. Over the last 10 years the peregrine population has soared, jesus christ they are putting up nest boxes in towns and are calling them the "urban peregrine". Is it just coincidence that our quality of raceing over the past years is getting beyond a joke.I have heard all the excuses,clashing,illness,weather,doo's not being properly trained,etc,etc.I have witnessed first hand a few peregrine strikes on my birds while training and it is unbelievable what they do to escape.I honestly dont see a future in pigeon raceing unless there is a decline in the numbers of peregrine falcons.
  15. Exactly, the minute pigeons take time to clear the area they are being slaughtered.There was a post on here last year when a guy witnessed hundreds of doo's being chased out to sea.
  16. I had one drop in last night from Consett, last youngbird race last year.It has'nt been in anywhere, all discoloured,never cease to amaze.
