  17. Have read that Stuart but ain't it funny how all feed suppliers have a breed and wean in which has a high %maples so they must do some research in to them for ybs! my ybs go on Concorde x barley and fly very well at home (don't race ybs) so will be on same this year possibly. Mostly tic beans x gem pellets for rearing here.

  20. My hens are out all time but do get hunted by the Sparra hen ,they are up in garage roof so little chance of attack by cats , the late breds fly for hours if they want but must admit not sure about giving a better love of home but because my birds can't talk I have to assume they are happy or wouldn't stay here.

    Bop

My hens and late breds are on open loft all day every day ,I lost 3 late breds early on (sept) none since I have crows and many other birds in garden so they get a warning the Sparra hen has a go regularly and never see Percy in winter . They will always be here so I have to accept it and do what I can when I can .
  22. Lol
  23. Correct ,that's what I was told and to give respiratory in case of infection .
  24. Bird is fine now but had to cut his crop several times ,after seeking vetenary advice gave him a respiratory treatment for 2 days and that done the trick . Every day a school day .
  25. Thanks to Ryan Hay who when read that I was looking for a 8 bird basket went and sent to pallets and had one delivered to me today , I promised him some ybs this year a few months back ,we have never met but for him to buy me a new basket shows what a gent he is . Thanks again . Not sure he will read this as he is banned from pigeon basics by his kids who say he spends too much time on here lol
