Fantastic reading , coming from east lothian the name flockart has always been connected with doo`s. canny wait on the next bit .

First yb hatch today in stock loft with another 12 due in the next few days ,11 /13 pairs in the roundabout loft due to hatch in the next few days ,the 12 pairs of yearlings in the natural loft ? some are on eggs /some just paired up /others no interested but not taking anything from them and all will be split again soon. The yearlings are on open hole and you should see them fly in all weathers snow,rain,galeforce winds they love it .

I was speaking to a fellow English doo man at black pool about rings , a few years ago his region got a bad batch that when wet you could`nt make out the number on the ring so now every year he puts a few in aglass oh water for a few days to see if any leaks , lol

Think they just decided to carry on to keep the meeting going i was there at the very end and he thought the meeting went WELL expletive remove.

It was a shambles as some have already said , the man is a baffoon , nothing about the first nat, nothing about transport improvement,and as for the picture show at the end what was that all about, and he is going to bring it up next year .lol had enough.

I have just started using them so i asked at blackpool about the value in them and was very happy what they rekon they can do, now have birds on 50%dep 50% bos pellett;

Andy it`s a pity you never met his mother she was incredible at picking your pool pigeon just by looking in your basket an incredible lady and the nat positions they won were also incredible. I put a proposal for our fed to go a bit farther with the yb`s but nobody interested , it is already a very hard area to fly into but to expect them to jump 80/90mls we get what we get.

Andy , If the Guy you are talking about is Graham! this man only trains from gifford 15 mls for the nationals and has been 2nd/3rd open in the gold cup ,because he is a farm worker he has no time to train his birds so just sends when he can to the races.

Think 50 ish they were in great nik bid on lot 22 it was a belter but decided i would`nt like keeping it in a box for 3 days so stopped . they struggled to sell them and i think there was a bit off dodgy deelings going on, jmo

I trid a wee thing last night (but the wife didny like it lol) in the racing loft i have 2 sections in one i put 3 nest felts under the drinker the other nothing ! the water only lightly froze on the nest felts but was solid in the other !! but i think it depends where the drinker is sat ie next to vents and so on .Sorry just read simlar topic at bottom of page , thought i had a great idea to .

I have only been through here a couple of years and am also in Midland fed and went to the AGM and for me the top table have it sewn up and am also a little dismayed at the lack of interest in going a bit farther than 200 mls or just over.

Had 10 pair of yearlings out today , they never flew much but they loved having a bath and lying in the garden. Never had so much hassle pairing up as i have this year but most are settled now so i can enjoy BLACKPOOL

I`m the opposite hy hens are causing havoc,jumping box to box fighting the cocks like never before , hate this time be glad when down on eggs.

Must be one of the most open and honest reports i have read well done the reporter. My brother is a very good friend of johns from years gone bye,as a man who has raced in the east and now reside in greengairs i would love to read a loft report from yourselfs J+J Hood to compare the preperation,feeding etc.

Have just read the SHU rules and it says ALL ETS RINGS MUST BE BOUGHT FROM SHU. So does this mean we pay shu for registration rings and also have to get ets rings at a mark up to shu when you could do a deal with the company providing them cheaper.

Have spoken to 3 nat members today and if this goes through they could be out the snfc. I will fly no matter what it is but think this needs looking into a lot better and over longer, but the so called map we got through the post is so poor and the membership deserve better. just when we need a steady ship up pops another iceberg. And why do we need £100,000 in the bank ,my club have something like £6000 the fed £10,000 what the hell is all this money for always thought pigeon racing was ment to be non profit making.
