  1. Hopefully some rested and some raced this week will go if all goes well,356 miles to us, good luck everyone.
  2. Stuart, we have only lost 4 birds all season until today, still waiting on 12, but we don't blame you your doing your best and I thought going first at that time gave us the sky to ourselvs as I believe from pb there was a lot of feds at Newark and we avoided the lottery of everyone going 15 minutes apart. We had bird taking the jump from otterburn (our choice) but nobody could forecast them not clearing where a good start was curicial but thats pigeon racing, your doing a good job Stuart. no complaints here.
  3. Up to 17/34, it's a long slog, empty perches tonight. how are you keeping John?
  4. 12/34 from Newark 240 mile one hour from time in, they have been steady not panicing yet, plaenty of time for them to work in (I hope).
  5. That doesn't sound like YBS, I tale it their droppings are poor, this could spread to others, if they seem ok otherwise I would isolate them and monitor them, but if in doub't pale! ATB
  6. Pair them to each other, all birds that have flown into Oban, there is no point in crossing them with birds that haven't. good luck.
  7. Thanks, will keep you posted.
  8. A few in our club didn't time in Andy, I'm waiting on 2/15, but one is my silver award hen so hope she is ok.
  9. 13/15 beaten by a decimal for first, well done peter murphy. some members in or club didn't time in 0/20 was one of them.
  10. Good luck to all, hopefully a great race, I love the birds getting up first light if possible.
  11. Hope it's not too serious, get well soon.
  12. Weather in Glasgow area has been poor all morning for returns. good luck, we are still waiting on one also from the same race.
  13. Still waiting on 6 from 41, none today, 2 2year old latebreds and 4 yearlings, disapointed, but better than some. Did they fly on by North or West, thoughts?
  14. 100% agree, but they need to go sometimes.
  15. Waiting on 6 from 41, I think they overshot today, giving them a tough job to work back, it's the same every year, as soon as we start heading south we start taking losses, same every year.

    Widowhood Cocks

Hi the birds are in good form, but if you want them all trapping immediately together in seconds, then when you open the trap to let them in the ones that stay out after about ten seconds leave out lock the trap and once the others have finished eating remove all the feeding and have the trap so only the ones out can get in (bob wires) then when the rest eventually come in just leave them minus a feed and they will be first in tomorrow, they will soon all fall into line and they will learn, out, fly, down, in, fed. Also make sure you stick to the same time every day as routine is key on widowhood. all the best for the coming season.
  21. Can we have a sold list and prices?
  22. At the end of the season, you will find that all your best performances will amount to a few birds, you need the numbers to find these birds. If we had a crystal ball we would only need a few to race every year.
  23. It takes 20 days from the first egg, one day to go, wait and see.
  24. Absolute Beginner, David Bowie.
