  3. Everything loooks fine mate - leave the nest bowl just keep the box clean has you have been doing. The youngster looks a picture of health and the cock will continue to feed the youngster until you part it.

  7. Ours go on the darkness on the Sunday the clocks go forward in March, so this year it will be the 28th I think. They come of the darkness the first Saturday in June, so that will be 6th this year, they have about 10 - 11 weeks on the darkness.
  8. We use it all year round once a week in the water - usually a Tuesday. Super product I love the smell also
  9. Try Stuart Wilcox on this site, he has some crackers - I bought a pair of younsters off him last year, gave them a couple of races upto about 120 miles, then put them away for this year - they have made a couple of lovely hens
  10. Terry Lodge is very much alive and kicking ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D He is Joe Longthorns manager. The last I heard he hasn't gotany pigeons anymore and he was looking at emigrating to Spain or somewhere like that
  11. I certainly do John - we always have a good laugh when we go
  12. Is that the same club that Robbie Thomas and Eddie Bateman fly ? or do they fly in Prenton Park H S?
  13. We fly widowhood with both the cocks and hens right through the season from 73 - 527 Miles.
  14. Quality, quality a dream stock team Also a real credit to you. What breeds are they?
  15. It's made no difference to ours John - I paired ours up last Monday and they were all fully up on the last flight and am sure they will be down on eggs in the same timeframe as the older and last years natural hens. Have you paired up yet?
  16. First class mate................ A real credit to you....
  17. Looks to be some excellent sales The 2 I would pick would be probably Darren Peters & Wall, Lunt & Green - excellent fliers and excellent pigeons
  18. A big fat ZERO Not pairing up until 26th Janaury
  19. I don't have any problem doing that James - we fly as Simeon & John Turner
  20. We will have - 12 celibate cocks - (6 for each Saturday club) 24 widowhood cocks - (12 for each Saturday club) This is for 2 Saturday clubs plus possibly the NFC and Sheffield 5 bird club if we join! Not sure whether to bother with the hens this year or not, if we do it will be a dozen maximum with the channel in mind! 40 - 45 young birds all on the darkness - these will be raced split up and let together on a friday.
  21. Happy New Year everyone - all the best for 2009
  22. Same for us, you could also use a pencil and shade it an area if you have a careful hand and don't press on too much
  23. We've used domestus before, and also milton (which is just a watered down version) - very good, cheap as chips and won't arm the birds at all in small doses that is - make sure you don't put anything else in the warer at the same time as the domestos will neutralise it Good post Ian - all the best for the new year and thge best of health to your family
  24. What do you all do with regards to preparation of your pigeons for pairing up, especially stock birds - say for the last month before your pairing date. Such as : 1 - medication 2 - Feed 3 - Supplements 4 - Putting the cock & hen together a few times in the lead up to pairing. Plus any other things you do to spark them into life for breeding
  25. We use tobacco stalks & straw, with nest felts in the nest bowls.
