Agree with greenlands I've witnessed pigeons coming out a training trailer and try to land back on it. You will get away with it with some youngbirds but whats the harm in a couple of chucks will do them the world of good

Well this year i basketted my young birds at 8 o'clock at night and trained them about 6 am the next morning so I think good basket training can make the difference because my returns were great losing 4 over the coarse of 3 races out of 27.

Have seen a few in the one loft over the last 3 years all distance intended

I'm considering letting my stock just run with all the racers as I will be on open bowl anyway so will make things easier for me. All about keeping it simple this year

I plan to be flying natural this season I have roughly 25 pairs I will pair up in the middle of Febuary once paired up and down on eggs the pigeons will be on an open bowl until dark the only time they will be in will be when the youngsters are out at first light. I plan to work them very hard this season and go to every race I possibly can.

Was with Charlie and John today Charlie now has 2 lofts up so just needs to do a few more things kit them out etc John also has one loft up and has bought sheets of ply to build a new loft. Things are really starting to take shape again down at the compound we bit or normality again. I doubt I would come back to the sport after a fire so fair play to them for there hard work it was a massive job in itself just clearing the mess
