  5. Do people breed there teams of ybs before they lets there old birds out? providing they use old bird racers as breeders ofcoarse?
  6. Once my yearlings are paired up tomorrow I will start letting them out
  7. The only problem I may face flying a system like this is I'm on a compound with 5 other fanciers so I would prob need to be there when nobody else is to let the pigeons out so cocks don't go chasing hens etc
  8. I really like the idea of flying total celibate the only thing holiding me back is I don't have stock that can breed me a full round of youngsters, maybe at the end of this season I will take a round of latebreds purely for stock
  9. Has finally lost it http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/370055/Blues-to-break-bank-for-Pep-Guardiola
  10. Put me down for two, the pigeons will be bred from pigeons obtained from Jim Cullen Also Jim Cullen himself will put one youngster up for sale. Come on guys lets donate ybs to this sale wouldn't like any other fancier to go through the same and we cannot help
  11. Not been in the game long enough Cawdy to know when they are normally keener the idea of splitting them completely is to make things easier for myself, Then in the later races which is were I would like to do my best in set pigeons up for pacific races
  12. Thanks for the feedback Owen How do you feel staying celibate right up to France would work? Which is 400 plus miles
  13. I was going to pair up take a round then split until pairing up for the longer races. I was not intending letting them run with each other before basketting at all. Would that not be a form of widowhood or double widowhood??
  14. What is the motivation for the pigeons on the celibate system? Is it just the love for home etc? The only reason I'm asking is I'm toying with the idea of pairing up shortly taking a round and then splitting to go on celibate for the shorter races then pair up later. I would do roundabout but would mean the tool box would have to come out and do a bit of jiggery pokery with the loft
  15. Thanks for the link Gareth
  16. Yeah I would agree Gareth tough tough job big club with big expectations but not sure any manager gets the support from the board
  17. Shame really but surely gonny be sacked??
  18. Can't really comment as I'm not a member as of yet but I hope this does not go through
  19. Ordered 60 rings but now thinking 35-40 will do me fine then take latebreds at the end off the season, give me something to work with over the long long winter really wish I had taken some latebreds this year bored stiff lol
  20. Now thinking after been down at the loft today I would like to pair up in the next couple of weeks Maybe take one round split after 5 days of the second eggs being laid and fly them on celibate until pairing up for the longer races. Means I will have a smaller young bird team but quantity over quality I guess
  21. How many youngsters will you be breeding?
