  1. Hi Guys, I think this is the link that you were looking for you. https://service.mail.com/dereferrer/?target=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.pigeonracingpigeon.com%2Fwhats-new%2Ftiny-loft-fascinating-pigeon-racing-method%2F&lang=en Cheers, Steve
  2. Very nice - not too many of those about I'd say. Well done ! Steve

    Sparrow Hawk

You would have done more than yourself a favour by looking after it ! They're F****rs, and it will be back now that it knows that it can get a high protein feed at your lofts. A chance missed I'm afraid !
  4. Hiya, Sure, but I think they only prosecuted or examined the one example as it was the only one they had proof of to hand. I may be mistaken but that was my understanding. Cheers, Steve
  5. The story here is that the Vet, Freddi Vandersanden bought a bird from Limbourg. The bird escaped from the Vet, going out over his head as he fed it one morning. He contacted Limbourg and advised him to keep an eye out for his escaped stock bird. No word came of the returning bird. Some years later, it was seen that Limbourg was selling pigeons on PIPA, and low and behold, the Vet's lost pigeon was contained in the pedigrees of the birds for sale, dated at times that were after he lost the bird. Reading between the lines, the escaped stock bird did indeed find home at the Limbourg residence, and was duly treated to all the hospitality that Eric could muster, politely forgetting that the bird was no longer his and omitting to notify or return the bird to the rightful owner (the vet). His defence was based on a "computer error" which was not accepted. They suspended him from the KDBD for 1 year, estimating that the act of being found guilty in teh first place would be punishment enough for him. Steve
  6. Scottish Rugby needs a good manager - great appointment

The site you mention should be http://trapman.co.uk/ I think ? Cheers, Steve
  9. Agreed, many roads to Rome My interpretation was purely technical and didn't encompass all of the variants that I am sure abound - sucessfully too ! Thanks for the link ! Steve
  10. Thats the whole point ! They never get a hen - no pairing, no breeding, no rearing and no hen to nag them LOL. They might see a hen in the Cock loft before they go to a race, but no-one of the race team will own that hen, she's there just to motivate them - without the stress ! ATB, Steve
  11. Hi Terry, Many thanks for posting this - all very interesting ! I'm amazed at how eager the hens are to fly, and the motivational triggers are pretty cool too - the bords must be bouncing as they go off to races ! Many thanks again, Steve
  12. Whatever happened to "Good Corn and Plain Water" as a sound basis for the health of our birds ? Just as well our birds don't have teeth or yours would need a dentist regularly ! I'd say that my birds wouldn't see even 2 of those products mentioned in a year. ATB with them for the season Cheers, Steve
  13. Hiya Terry, If you wouldn't mind - any chance that you could discuss your daily / weekly routine with the birds from training into racing please ? Many Thanks, Steve O'Dea
  14. "Anyone got some nice, soothing and cooling ointment please ? " ??
  15. Yes it does, or can be painted with PVC paint. Depends on what your local stockist holds or can get his hands on. Black, Green, Brown, Etc.... I used 300mm x 5M lengths - each length cost around £6 per length. I know that I did the entire front and side of my 40' x 8' loft for under £160.00 including all the trimmings etc. Hope this helps. S.
  16. Close to completion on my racing loft earlier this summer. ATB, Steve
  17. Maybe you should consider using PVC Soffit for the sides of the loft. It is completely weatherproof, clean, easy to fit and fairly cost effective as it is a finished product once fitted. Cheers, Steve

  19. Hi, I'd just like to thank Stuart for the three Free vodeos which arrived with me on Thursday - much appreciated and thankful for !! ATB, Steve
  20. PM Sent Cheers, Steve
  21. Thanks for that ;-)
  22. I don't think that you will need 3 sections if you are only putting a team of youngsters in there, two should do you until later in the season when you say you might have some old birds to house. In the meantime, two sections will allow you to separate the birds (Cocks and hens) and use the "sliding door" method to motivate them for racing. You could also pair them up later in the YB season and fly them to partner / eggs / hatchlings / large YB ? Plenty of room for that many bords and max. 2 sections needed I would say ! ATB with them, Steve
  23. Super looking loft - well done ! Steve
  24. Bought as a tester last evening - a 50KG bag of whole Oats - untreated - delivered for €15 in total ! Fed to my resting race team today, and for the forseeable future until February when they will be paired-up. Consulted quite a lot of fanciers and forums before buying and the resounding answer was that many had quietly wintered their birds on Oats and were delighted with the birds after the winter season. That is seriously cheap for us here. Barley was also offered, at £6.25 (€8) for 25KG. Cheers, Steve

    Virus

Olympic Torch (hoax) From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump to: navigation, search Not to be confused with Flame (malware). Olympic Torch is a computer virus hoax sent out by e-mail. The hoax e-mails first appeared in February 2006. The "virus" referred to by the e-mail does not actually exist. The only effect is that the warning email itself is widely circulated as a chain letter. The hoax e-mail warns recipients of a recent outbreak of Olympic Torch viruses, contained in e-mails titled "Invitation", which erase the hard disk of the user's computer when opened. The hoax email further purports the virus to be acknowledged by such reputable sources as CNN, McAfee, Microsoft and now Facebook as one of the most dangerous viruses yet reported. In reality, the Olympic Torch virus is non-existent, and generally has not been reported by the organizations quoted. A similar version of this hoax is the Postcard Image virus hoax which refers to another non existent virus known as POSTCARD. The Postcard variation has been in circulation at least since 2008[1] Proposed damage by the virus was, to cause ones hard drive to spin so fast, it caught on fire. That was why they called it the "torch" Anti-virus specialists agree that recipients should delete virus hoaxes when they receive them, instead of forwarding them.[2][3
