Put 8 pairs up last Sunday, the nest pans went in today. Noted today one of the hens has switched Cks, wouldn't have put the two together by choice but will let it go and see what comes from them.

It's closing in fast now Richard, gusts approx 50mph but it's going to get wilder as day day goes on. Next few days are much the same though the winds are forecast to drop from tomorrow night onwards.

Another great day out with the PB golfers. Course was in great condition for December and a few if us improved our scores. Gonna try and squeeze in a wee Christmas day out on 27th. Correct Davie, my point exactly. They recently paid some scientists £40k to explain how doos found they're route home and they came to the conclusion the birds followed the roads but they never mentioned valleys or how the doos got home pre roads. No bad work if ye can get it 🙂

If the M6 M74 A1 M8 etc etc etc were built OVER hills and mountains do you think our birds would follow roads ??? I don't buy the follow roads theory, it just so happens the roads go through the hills just as the birds do and did before there wee any roads to follow !! Wind direction determines 99% of results. Just seen the news that Walter Swinburn has died aged just 55 !!! Most famous for his ride on Shergar in the 1981 Derby. He was admired by his peers but had his demons to deal with lately so i truly hope he Rest's in Peace.

I just read on .gov.uk that you can fly Pigeons and (ironically!)BOP but avoid contact (catching) wildfowl and keep a close eye on yer doos health.
