  1. He's a ringer for him Alan, hope he's well enough tae go back this year and has a wee bit better luck !
  2. Thanks Pat, most of the pics if not all were taken mid/late November. This one is away out on loan so I hope he produces the goods for the guy.
  3. Direct son of my Ypres Section winner Equipoise today.
  4. Yes George, Good doos are easily broken. That was one of ma Da's mottos and it has proven to be right several times in our lofts.
  5. Today's pic is of a Young Ck out of Jim Cullen's 2nd Sec Ypres 2016. Aye MIK they've wintered very well
  6. Aye Paddy need plenty practice tae stay ahead of Geo and Billy
  7. Full brother of my Reims today.
  8. My first ybs hatched out this morning out of this Kannibal (spelling?) Ck. He was a gift from Pat Doherty who has ye very best of this family and they are performing great in OLR's.
  9. Had no idea Jim, guy who worked at the Baron's Hough reserve told me Pieds Grizzles reds mealy' etc were an easier target because they are easily picked out against the terrain below. No idea if he is right either but just looking at my own team the more white about them the higher percentage are lost compared to Cheq Blues etc, which supports his observations. Get tae the back of the queue Davie lolol
  10. Very difficult tae keep them anywhere Ally, they're like beacons tae Percy 😡
  11. Seeing yesterday's was late I thought I'd go early today and add a bit of colour tae. 2016 Grizzle hen 100% Jock Alston bloodlines. Sire purchased from SNFC sale I think it was and the dam at Carluke club fundraiser sale. She was my timer 2 of the three races I gave her.
  12. I never tire of taking their pics Andy, just another way of getting pleasure from my hobby. Especially out of racing season when there's little else to do.
  13. It's their doos am interested George, got two belters of Ck's from them and want at least one of their hens to bring in for them.
  14. Ye can see here she never had they markings last year.
  15. The wee hen behind her is a dghtr from her. You can see slight Cheq marks high up on her back, the Reims hen has developed the same markings this year. The dghtr is going out on loan shortly and I'm hopeful she will do well for the fancier.
  16. A bit late but....Today's pic is of my hen Sweet Pea who scored in the Gold Cup last year. Pic taken late Nov after the moult.
  17. The Friday night sale with the GWP doos in it is the one I fancy most. Haven't seen the sale list but Believe it's made up of birds from different lofts. The Macs birds are from the Very Very best of their stock and I need a hen so that one is my first choice.
  18. 300 into Gretna or very near it. Plus 5-6 miles tae Ecclefechan.
  19. There will be many that have done the likes of this and scored well when doubled back into the Gold Cup within 12/14 days BUT ! I would bet that very few of the fanciers actually had it in their plans at the start of the season. It's only after the inland race the decision to send them to the Gold Cup is taken. E.g.. If my doo had an easy race, if there is such a thing, from 300mls and showed it was still in good condition I might double it back in but it would Never be in my plans to do it at the start of the season
  20. Too near the fire for me Alan defo not sending Gold Cup doos tae it.
  21. He made a mistake and landed flown down in the grey dark that night. Always like them when they've shown guts tae get home Paddy.
  22. This young Ck is my personal favourite of my 2016 by team. Bred down from the GWP Dream Pair x a hen I purchased at Blackpool in 2013.
  23. These iPhones are the business for clarity Andy, the rest is persistence lol
  24. This latebred Ck is from a G/Son of GWP's Young Bandiet x Buschaert hen bred by Smiler on here. Looking forward to see how these new birds perform.
  25. I have around 4 gallons of homemade Cider Vinegar and have been wondering what to do with it, it's gawn in the bath water now
