  14. I know when i go to the SNFC races these days, there is a possibility of finishing on the first page of the result, and taking open pool money, if the club moves back to the west i will have lost this opportunity, as previous years have proved. I can't reconcile myself with the notion, other sections of the club wish to deny me and the rest in the west this FAIRER line of flight. The expectations in the south and east of the country have had to be reviewed, due to the impact of the change in race points and reduced birdages, so you want things reverted to "the good old days" without a thought of taking this expectation from me??? Shame on you's!!
  15. Cheers, i've passed the details on

  21. I was looking around for Sprint/mid distance doos for a friend of mine but i've no really got the best idea where to go for the best of the SVR doos these days. Any idea's guys??
  22. Its hard to say whether modern methods are better/worse than 30 years ago, what is beyond doubt is that the pigeons nowadays are faster than the doos of 1980. In those days most lofts would have had Larger birds than they do now, doos with big Wattles and seers, broad heads and broad "shoulders". Today's birds are much smaller and, unlike 30 yrs ago, you can hardly tell the difference between sexes in some strains, this change to what i refer to as a European Type of doo, may well have reduced the homing instinct of the birds too. Also a factor is in those days was how FEW Peregrines were around compared to today, i think the lack of 2nd day birds turning up compared to then is down to the BOPS. jmo's
  23. Ditto
