  1. i'm always keeping an eye for the new kid on the block eventually the distance bug will bite that sore you'll wonder why you bothered with club racing, PROBABLY when ye win the national!!
  2. Never rains but it feckin pours!!
  3. Canny argue with you Andy, but your own and the Kelly names were jumping out at me.
  4. I don't know the man but B W Kelly from Chirnside has had a good national season from across the water, scoring well in Reims Ypres and now Clermont. A name to keep an eye on for winning a national, my opologies if he's already done it. Andy Miller is another one who's been well in more than once, and got a few quid to go with it Very Well done to both fanciers.
  5. I got my ets rings off the secretary tonight, one of the first thoughts i had was how many will actually get one on their leg come Thursday, as they have at least 3 more tosses before Friday.
  6. You done well with it, keeping it racing to 5yrs old, assuming its gone altogether enjoy the success you had with it and set about replacing the irreplaceable!!
  7. I would guess they are both very pleased with their season, and both of them should be.
  8. I judge the pigeon long before i read about it in a pedigree, if the bird suits my hand and i think it will fit into my team i will look at the pedigree, but this will not influence me to pay more or less for it, my mind is already made up whether i want it or not and how much i am prepared to pay for it. As you's will know, there is far more rubbish comes out of GOOD birds than quality ones do, same with all livestock, its no feasible the good will always produce good, it just doesn't happen.
  9. If you have a name i'll get onto them for you, or tell the president of Motherwell??
  10. Knowing your location will get you more offers hopefully. There have been one or two threads looking for a loft lately, if you look through the old ones you might find something close to you. I'll have a look too
  11. Is there a result yet George?? Don't see it on the web site.
  12.  There is maybe one other thing you can try before Sapper kills himself laughing. 2 pkts of salt & vinegar crisps and a guzzle of coca cola or 3, bit late for bananas by the sound of it :D
  13. When all is said and done, if your getting a stray back for a Fiver or Less, your a sight better off than getting them back by courier. I know ma vote is on the fiver every time
  14. He'll no miss it, millionaires they Rankin's
  15. There are only 2 cures available to you, you're no taking one of them (the hair o the dog) so only other option is to get some valium from your local prescription drug dealer :D
  16. I know you weren't questioning anyone. I just couldn't remember if a fee was paid to the Station down south for the doos you collected from there. I don't think any of us were doing it for money, if we were we got some dissy
  17. Thats a right sore one so soon after you dad, very sorry to hear it, but you'll find solace in your family and support from the members on PB if you need it.
  18. I look forward to supporting future ventures at the Kingslea lofts
  19. I would just like to point out that i was under the impression that there was more than one race taking place from Ian's loft and used the £20 to identify which race/competition that i was asking about. I IN NO WAY INTENDED TO INSULT IAN OR QUESTION HIS INTEGRITY. I do hope this clears that up.
  20. Where are you?
  21. I never used it ma self, what is the best way to give them it and what Forms can you buy it in. Ma Da used it years ago but i never took much notice at the time.
  22. The club charge the member, the Fed bill clubs and Shu bill Feds, I THINK! Doos from other unions are looked after by Davy until they can be transported to their respective area, AT NO CHARGE. To be fair i don't think the other stations charge for handling Scottish birds, did they take anything off you guys that went to collect them last year Frank? It might be the case that a convoyer charges £1 per pigeon that they transport up from down south, if its another Feds doos that is.
  23. Cheers Frank, i kinda figured that.
  24. What does it mean for those of us who joined in the £20 a doo race??
  25. Worked out ok but as a rule a don't like late tosses, but its upon us and they have to learn the ropes!
