  1. Its the presidents privilege to decide where the metings are held, The AGM will be held in Newmains to accomodate the HUGE NUMBERS of fanciers who are claiming to be going to it The delegates meetings are only attended by 26 or so members so the Bowling club is ideal for it.
  2. Nothing will or can be decided at the meeting Danny, its idea's to take to the race program meeting we would like. The Idea of it is to get proposals at the agm then like all the proposals the members present will decide. It will get a bigger Majority of fanciers opinions on the race program as well cos no everybody can be there, well at least their opinions can be heard through the delegates if the clubs have their meetings first. You need to take some Meds for that paranoia
  3. There will be a Delegates meeting on 29TH SEPTEMBER in the Beltane Bowling Club. 7.30pm. The RACE PROGRAM for 2011 will be top of the agenda, no doubt there are many opinions on this subject, so i urge all clubs to have a meeting and direct your delegate to vote for whatever the majority of your members wishes eg, Route, Racepoints, distances whatever you decide. I would also urge those of you who have a Program in mind to investigate the sites you are proposing regarding suitability of the site and some information from federations who have used your proposed site about type of racing and returns they have experienced from it and Any other info you think helpful.
  4. Cheers Frank, i can only do mine because of how well Davy does his though
  5. Your too modest Davy, you do a first class job and put more time in on they doos than anyone would. We're VERY lucky to have you doing the job.
  6. A friend of mine got this doo in tonight, its a Blue WF. Anyone know who's it is?? i can send a contact number if you do.
  7. There aren't any birds for Clarkston Club, i have listed all the clubs who have them mate
  8. I only get Lanarshire members birds. Your fed secretary will have been told if there are any for your fed today, or maybe your stray officer
  9. Me either by the looks of it
  10. To my knowledge Frank this has only happened on 1 or 2 previous occasions, the thinking behind it i couldn't tell you but i agree with you that there should be a proposal from the M/C at the meeting. I will put it to George when i see him and maybe a week or so before the Race Program AGM we could have a delegates meeting to discuss it. I would welcome input to that from Jim Lennon and Jim Hannah who are probably the most informed men in our organisation. Again JMO!
  11. Funny how Theelens are immediately associated with Red pigeons these days, as if he were the first one to have them
  12. What i would say is that if you have proposals for the AGM's of your Fed, make sure you do everything you can to get information about the race points viability and some info from organisations who have used the site regards the type of racing they got from it. My persdonal choice of route would be to run in an arc from Otterburn to Dorchester/Weymouth going through, Thirsk, Leeds, Nottingham, Leicester, Oxford and Salisbury. Not that i believe the racing would be easier but there is every chance, with the prevailing westerly winds, the doos will be over land most/all of their way home. JMO
  13. Think i'll have some trainers for the SNFC Yb National away, Weather permitting
  14. I always breed some natural yb's, they don't see the basket until yearlings. They aren't all late breds but they are treated like them, All my best racers were were treated this way. This year between one thing and another i have 25 in that section though usually its around 12-16 birds. Next year i'll race the program as usual and will have a B team as usual
  15. I have a pair of Jan Theelen Reds in the nest just now who are not unlike the Red Ch above
  16. Nice healthy looking Yb's, are they any particular strain?
  17. What club are you in? There are doos with plain rings but i canny miond the numbers
  18. The following clubs have more strays, delivered today with the help of ALF who collected them for me and dropped them off at Newmains. Thanks very much Alan. They are, Dalzell 1, Burnbank 1, Blantyre 1, Carluke 2, Newmains 2, Uddingston 1, Lanark & Dist 3, Glenmavis 1 and Larkhall 1. These will be handed out tomorrow night between 7.30pm and 8pm.
  19. Lanarkshire members who want to go down the west have Short memories, it was so bad we had to have a EGM to switch back down the East for the young bird program and that was only 3-4 years ago. Why would you think it will be any better now??
  20. Reports from the controllers contradict this Gareth, the area is surrounded by valley's and the birds are easily driven into them and then can't get out again. I have heard this personally and have no reason to doubt the information.
  21. I was just thinking you must be close to getting the Combined Ave along with the O/B one. Great flying in qwhat has been a torturous season at times. VERY WELL DONE to the both of you's, well deserved.
  22. Got a bleachin the day fae Consett, only have 3/9 sent. Never got a doo until 1.42 (winners in 11.55). Thats 2 snide races fae this race point and you'll hear me screaming where ever you are if it gets proposed again
  23. there will be more strays this week, i am waiting for a call to find out how many, so when i get them and sort them into the club baskets i will contact the secretaries or stray officer of each club who have them. I hope to distribute them on Monday night about 8pm.
  24. I Hope you's tell your stray officers about the doos, it'll save me a lot of hello's if you's can
  25. I'm no a Clipe, he can tell me anything
