Its possible they've been picked up by a larger batch and are far from home, to me that would be preferable to a hawk strike. Though it could be just as bad as far as returns go!!

Canny agree with you there Lindsay, he is BY FAR the best footballer in the team and the biggest threat to the opposition that England have. Ask Fergie Moyes Capello Hodgson and just about any other football manager/pundit/player and they will tell you the same. All those men simply Cannot be wrong. On the result, as much as i would like to see Rooney get a hat trick and get England through i just feel the Italians are too FLY for the English defenders.

Ouch Frank, that's a sore one. Hope they work back before too long mate. atb

How did your toss go Frank?
-
No that much easier, ma mate has only 2/6 and didnae get a timer until well after 12pm, but i do agree it will be Very difficult into Ayrshire with that wind. ATB

Where is it you live knoxjn?
-
Aye they're unavoidable, no matter where ye toss them. Got a doing ma very first toss last year and i wisnae even as far as Carnwath.

If it was only the last 3 i'd no be bothered as i'd take it they were detoured and would turn up but the Ck is a 3yr old and was libbed with another 3yr old so should have been back with it, that makes me think something sinister has happened to it, percy or wires.

Took 7 doos through to Heriott Watt university, tossed them 2, 2, and 3. At the moment 4 are still missing. The last 3 out the basket and 1 of 2 Ck's libbed 10 mins before them.

The rules state that when a race is Cancelled, meaning NO RACE has taken place, the option to return to the same race point is open. As a race has taken place there is no rule that would allow a return to Charnock Richards next week Tom. WHEN?

Are ye going to Alencon Stuart?

The solution is quite simple Roland, take every penny out of your bank account every month, if they haven't got our money they canny shaft us over and over again. In saying that the trap has been sprung and the public are almost totally reliant on their banks now. Forced to open accounts to get wages was the final straw.
-
The talk was she would be retired now Roland, owner said she wasn't right during the race and her future would be decided when they get back down under.

The doos at Longtown were libbed at 10.00am. There is a wee problem with communication on the mobile phones and it is being said they are away at 10.15 but i'm assured its 10am, good luck to all.

Cheers Mick, here's hoping it holds and the members get a race today.

I have a 100Ltr water tank out at the lofts. I throw in a pack of 3 garlic bulbs to a full tank and leave them there, topping up the water as needed, until they have almost dissolved. About 2/3 days before i take it out i put in a new pack of 3. For all the good its doing them i know its not doing any harm so i will stick with it. This season for the first time ever i treated my racers for Canker, because a man i have great respect for advised me that it was a MUST to treat for. Have to say it hasn't shown any significant improvement in the condition or performance level of the birds so i'll go back to leaving well alone and keep ma £26,00.

It was the story of the L & K Buddle pigeon that made me think of Luck and what part it plays in our game. Ye get the exceptions to everything and i think the Macs are probably the least reliant on luck around, certainly around here.

Can you see the hill Tops Mike?

During the winter at the socials etc, if i get the chance to ask the guest whether there was Luck involved in their big wins or was it precision planning that got them. Example; Su 91 L 26261 Cheq Hen. Paired to a Leopold Cadou Choc Pied Ck Bought in to go with her, topped the Fed 8,000+ birds on her first nest of the season. THE LUCK was they wouldn't take to each other and there wasn't a spare Ck to run her with so she sat spare with him in the Yb section. Met the guy who sold me the Ck and told him it was no good as it was sulking and wouldn't even defend its territory. The guy told me to come and he would replace it with a young bird due out of the nest, said i would take the original Ck back to him when collecting the YB. Guy said no keep it. Collected the Yb and, on my life, the very SECOND its feet touched the floor of the loft the original Ck was showing up and chasing it around the floor. He then, having found his voice, took to the original hen, still in the yb section, and they went to nest just in time for her to win the first big Trophy of the year in the Fed. I'd take bets if she had paired with the rest in March she wouldn't have won that race. What's your luck like?

Been dry for about 30 mins now, maybe that's the weather blown through and the doos can get up. MAYBE!!

Think at the next AGM we should maybe introduce an "internet info line" of communication as well as the phone line, but in saying that some members will still not find out about decisions taken until they get to their respective clubs to mark their doos. This is why its not possible to delay basketing for races because it would cause even more upheaval if 100 guys turned up at the club on a Friday expecting to send their doos away only to find the club houses closed. Being BIG has its disadvantages too!!

As far as i know Tam the transporter is at Longtown. I ASSUME this to be correct because i haven't been told anything different, but it is an assumption, i wouldn't normally be kept in that particular "loop" so can only guess.

Finally a comment from someone who can see past their own garden.

I imagine it would be annoying Frank but as you say, the Right decision was made, and at the end of the day that is the most important issue here not who might or might not have changed their own plans with the knowledge they were going to Longtown. If ma doos were fit to fly Charnock Richards today i wouldn't have a problem sending them half the distance, if they weren't fit to fly Char they shouldn't be sent Anywhere. imho
