    Bells

Tried everything when i lived out on the farm over twelve years ago from Bali bells to terror eyes on there wings and as Linda brooks from the shu quit rightly stated in the bhw NOTHING WORKS if the peregrine is wanting a kill and is in a stoop at 100 plus miles per hour all the pigeons want to do is get the f--- out of the sky .
  5. Funny old race last week thinking the missing doos were in stranraer or ireland ,yet two clubmates get them reported one dead in aberdeen the other not so dead in fraserburgh and here's me thinking it was an east wind
  6. Has to be No 1 for me what a wonderful specimen of a racing pigeon would love to have a loft of those .
  7. Yesterdays east wind in this area was as strong as i can remember i sent twenty ten cocks ten hens the first ten all holding there racing line and home in minutes from the first arriving then nothing for hours where i fly 30 miles north of Gretna and because of the vast geographical layout of our fed if the birds do not break from the batch on a day with strong east winds as they hit the Gretna area i guess they continue along the solway cost at high altitude with the convoy of the south west that we also transport, they race direct west into stranraer the ferry port which does sailings to Ireland if the birds do not break which many yearlings don't they then find themselves 130 miles from home having to home into a gale as i say first ones spot on time then zero for hours now down to four missing one of which is five and has many positions to his credit cant not send as east is predicted for most of the week and our mileage is now increasing so have to take there chance but is very annoying loosing fit and healthy yearlings
  8. Solway Liberated 10-20 Ripon ne wind

There is also a breeding pair at the chapelcross nuclear plant in dumfriesshire and even the workforce are not allowed near them during the breeding ,worlds gone crazy man .
  15. Spoke to a man a while back and he said he used to help clear peregrine eyrie's after the breeding season and he gave up the job as he was totally disgusted with the carnage from one nest ,does the general public think BOP shop at Tesco

  19. Hen Peregrine was high above my hens when they were exercising tonight she stayed for ten minutes but did not attack just circled effortlessly before diving back to her nest in the hills about five miles to the north which took her seconds amazing to watch just a pity they eat our doos . Whilst the cocks were exercising this morning at six an osprey passed overhead stunning bird second year here still waiting on its mate arriving .
  20. If its easterly might no send and go and watch annan's last home game as i've been invited hate east winds to many good birds end up west coast where there's nothing for them to eat only things that eat them .

The great thing about our sport is there are so many different methods just got to stick to your own but must be very regular as for feeding yb's never liked giving them to little as they are still growing a good light feed in the morning and as much as they want at night for ten minutes if they are in good health should fly for up to two hours unaided if not all is not well omo
