I have a 6 year old at present never done nowt when he was raced natural until 2yo,then put him on roundabout at 3yo and he flew great with plenty of top tens in the club including 3x 2nd's he was racing well again last year until he went missing in a fast east wind race got reported months later in patna ayrshire minus most of one wing and half a tail with a falcon strike,This year he has never been settled at exercise and always on edge gave him his first race on saturday with the intent of sending him to one of the classics but he has only just returned today and will not leave his box now think he's had enough and his bottle has gone so i will retire him and let him enjoy his life,as surely if i am relying on a six year old something wrong me thinks

Got of to a really bad start with training being hit by the falcon first toss from 10 mls got hit and came home in singles 6 on the night with 16 missing from ten bloody miles they did work in all day the next but still lost birds,sent 2 only to first race 100% there,missed 2nd race 3rd race dropped 3 from 13 Yesterday lost one unraced yearling one raced yearling and one very well raced 6yo all cocks dropped 7 hens from 19 funny thing here was most had raced all yearlings yet the one's that were away for there first ever race 140 mls homed really well apart from two ,My timer a late bred yearling cock first ever race how can you follow that ,honestly believe nowadays its pure luck if your doos in the batches that get constantly struck or in the one's that get lucky,one thing is for certain if you keep sending your best one it will go down eventually .

Never seen as many doos working through moffat as yesterday from 1 o'clock till 3 in groups of 6's 10's and 20's got 2 of my own out of one batch found it a patchy race myself with fancied raced doos being beaten by birds away for the first time .
