  11. Nice Morning here high broken cloud wee bit cool yet.
  12. Had 1 X 7mls 3 x 10 mls and 1 x 20 mls ,will get another 3 at 20 mls then 2 at 27 mls in groups then with what time is left weather wise will get put up in 2's or 3's from 27 mls . On darkness and natural, darkie hens every race, cocks 140 mls then depending on health of team some may go to 180 mls Not lost a hen yet ,six cocks down but far to many carrying injuries at this rate will have to open an A&E wing . Cant complain had far greater disasters but early days yet watch this space
  13. Jumped them from 10 mls to 20mls today lib in four batches ,batch 1,3 and 4 home ok batch 2 split but last one home tonight carrying wing injury seems miracles do happen 100%.
  14. Biggest problem and i noticed it again when liberating my yb's this morning they are the only things in the sky it is completely void of bird life ,sad but true walter we are only feeding the falcons .
  15. Hope they have worked in walter, its a f- lottery trying to get them into moffat just now the young peregrine are hunting earlier than previous years lib my birds at 7-30 this morning got all but 8 in one batch next 2 2hrs later 1at 2oclock 1 at 3oclock 1 at 5-30 1 at 6-50 and one at 7-10 1 missing, of the late one's today one with part wing missing ,one with part tail missing one with no feathers on front and one that i had to stitch together, pure and utter lottery breeding goes out the window
  16. I found when training darkness youngsters from say 25 mls and working them on a widowhood method that when they are spot on health wise i could lib the hens in 3's then the young cocks in 3's and they would all clear immediately and arrive home in that order if they got a clear run ,jmo but i have always been of the belief that youngsters that circle have a health issue and most times its respiratory when they are a1 they dont circle jmo
  17. Grahame been filling you foo o buckfast ye auld bugger Happy 40th
  18. Had youngsters down road for there third toss took them to the same spot at 10 mls there first toss was at 7 mls lost 3 cocks first toss 1 cock second toss new they were being split not far from home, they came over the top of me at beattock tonight and i wondered what the hell they doing on this side of the motorway, got home and they had just arrived was 6 down but all worked in,my mate had been down the water fishing and he came in to tell me he saw them go over and swing away to the west as a pair of peregrines were working there young right on line ,so far 2 with tails missing and 2 with flights missing but x now marks the spot o happy days

  20. Good point about the weather, with the continuous rain we had and early dark nights noticed that some of my darkness yb's have feathers missing on there nose ,will have to think about putting the lights on the timer if weather stays bad i am sure as you say the birds think its autumn ,(never mind the doos my old brain thinks its autumn )
