philg50 Posted August 7, 2017 Author Report Posted August 7, 2017 There is a lot of questions to be answered in this game But saying other fanciers are keeping other people's doos is shocking!!is this really your views?IT was more of a question ie does this happen ? have you never racing had a doo reported after the racing and its came through a perfect moult in picture of health weeks from when it was lost been living it rough ,Naw ,how much rings issued in the fed this year 6000 / 7000 are you telling me all the birds lost are dead ,this is my last answer on this but there is no point in reading a book if you make up your own story ,read the post again and see it for what it is a open question best regards
Blue Chequer Pied Posted August 7, 2017 Report Posted August 7, 2017 Any fancier that takes in strays and keeps them with all the illness there is on the go needs there head examining. My advice if things are going wrong Phil is as follows...... go look in the mirror, a lot of your answers to your problems will be looking at you in a quizical manner! Eh!

hotrod Posted August 8, 2017 Report Posted August 8, 2017 Sorry lads but I agree with Phil here , I put the phone number rings on all of mine ,apart from a number of years ago when I had a flyaway. Got 3 reported out of 12 lost ,since then spent plenty on them never had one (apart from the one below)reported ,buy them at 100 at a time does me nearly 3years ,I've had one guy local to me have one of my youngsters in lost it as a 5week old squeaker he phoned me nearly 3 weeks later saying he just got it in , I went got it ,kept it in a few days ,let it out and straight back to him like a bullet . Ps he has a dark loft and the baby had started to lose lots of feathers (moult) .obviously he's had it in and never noticed it ,expletive remove it was a light cheq pied ,very much like de smaradg 11 (spelling ) with a red phone number on its leg . Amazing they can miss it in their loft . So yes there are guys out there that don't know their birds some couldn't tell the front from the back of one never mind know if any of them are theirs , just do a head count .

Blue Chequer Pied Posted August 8, 2017 Report Posted August 8, 2017 Paul I take them in but they go into the corridor and caught and put straight in the basket in the storage shed I,m sure the members in your club are pleased I send them back to them but as u seem to think I must be off my head for doing so in future maybe I wont let them in some might just be yours Alan that is not what I meant. Phil is on about people taking them in and keeping them . When you get strays if you don't let them in they just hang about and cause bother. I put them in the garden shed away from mine. We all get them and all do the right thing by them. Some of us drive miles picking up and dropping off strays on a weekly basis at times and don't feel the need to play the martyr card. Keep up the good work Alan ðŸ‘
BLACK W F Posted August 8, 2017 Report Posted August 8, 2017 Paul I suggest u reread your post it reads as though all strays are sick I will leave it at that as a lot of your clubs birds have been sent back by me no one playing any martyr as I treat other peoples birds like I would treated
tommy bhoys Posted August 8, 2017 Report Posted August 8, 2017 I often wonder why i bother wee them ,just counting 32 of yb team and now i see 19 1 back the day ,them fallen by the way side ((Brechin 2 )) 13 lost ,amounted to 4 calls reporting birds 2 in Dundee ,! Kennoway Fife, 1 Montrose, 9 never to be heard of so do i take it they havnt entred a loft ,or did fowk like the look of them and are holding on to them ,or cant some lads nae read a very obvious phone ring ,what ever ??? but losses well fowk are breeding as much doos now tae compenset for losses and nae training a big % percentage of them they are creating their own losses and bringing trained doos down with them ,oh aye and when am at it a lot of yer mob flyers dinna even notice a stranger in their dookit .Rant over :emoticon-0179-headbang:i use fone numbers on my birds have six calls this year they are brill for any non fancier that finds your bird
