Dmurray Posted December 29, 2016 Report Posted December 29, 2016 Why did we move from alencon if consistentcy is what yet after? Imo Alencon has consistently been a bad race point with bad returns year after year
Andrew suckle Posted December 29, 2016 Report Posted December 29, 2016 if the solway boys win from anywhere why are u wanting it back to alencon u should not care where it's from and I'm for Reims
Dmurray Posted December 29, 2016 Report Posted December 29, 2016 Imo The gold Cup should be reims so it's at least 500 miles to every loft in Scotland
dal2 Posted December 29, 2016 Report Posted December 29, 2016 if the solway boys win from anywhere why are u wanting it back to alencon u should not care where it's from and I'm for ReimsPreference.....do you have a preference?
dal2 Posted December 29, 2016 Report Posted December 29, 2016 Preference.....do you have a preference?Ah I see Reims
dal2 Posted December 29, 2016 Report Posted December 29, 2016 Imo The gold Cup should be reims so it's at least 500 miles to every loft in ScotlandTougher than it should for me. As said before a 450 to the central belt might get more interested
Delboy Posted December 29, 2016 Report Posted December 29, 2016 Tougher than it should for me. As said before a 450 to the central belt might get more interested The old traditional route is right through your dookit lol, Ancenis 13 of top 14 open, solway. Think shame of yersel lol
Mossgiel Posted December 29, 2016 Report Posted December 29, 2016 Imo Alencon has consistently been a bad race point with bad returns year after year Apart from 2015, can you tell me of another bad Alencon race ??
Mossgiel Posted December 29, 2016 Report Posted December 29, 2016 Apart from 2015, can you tell me of another bad Alencon race ?? Sorry should have written 2014, not 2015.
Dmurray Posted December 29, 2016 Report Posted December 29, 2016 Apart from 2015, can you tell me of another bad Alencon race ?? 2009 2011 2012 where all bad races and if less than 50% of the convey making it home is a good race am in the wrong game
Dmurray Posted December 29, 2016 Report Posted December 29, 2016 Tougher than it should for me. As said before a 450 to the central belt might get more interested Yes for sprinters it's a long distance race it's no meant to be easy
Dmurray Posted December 29, 2016 Report Posted December 29, 2016 2009 2011 2013 where all bad races and if less than 50% of the convey making it home is a good race am in the wrong game 2013 no 2012
Mossgiel Posted December 29, 2016 Report Posted December 29, 2016 2009 2011 2012 where all bad races and if less than 50% of the convey making it home is a good race am in the wrong game I think you'll find the % returns from this years Reims race is far less than the returns from the years you mentioned from Alencon. BTW 2011 gold cup was from Messac which was without doubt a bad race.

Your correct it's far far less but that was human error this year and nothing else, what am getting at is its time for a change and I think we should stick with Reims and give it a chance as it's a good race point

dal2 Posted December 29, 2016 Report Posted December 29, 2016 The old traditional route is right through your dookit lol, Ancenis 13 of top 14 open, solway. Think shame of yersel lol As you know Derek I travel lots between fechan and Kirkintilloch but have never felt the urge to go via Biggar........the traditional route for me
Delboy Posted December 29, 2016 Report Posted December 29, 2016 As you know Derek I travel lots between fechan and Kirkintilloch but have never felt the urge to go via Biggar........the traditional route for me If ye were a doo ye would think differently lol
Andrew suckle Posted December 29, 2016 Report Posted December 29, 2016 If ye were a doo ye would think differently lolTotally agree
Dooheed 5 Posted December 29, 2016 Report Posted December 29, 2016 One of the reasons for coming out of Clermont -"transporters are parked under a motorway bridge where the birds are exposed to traffic noise and fumes and therefore may not be properly rested " Reims -"large Lorry/truck stop and very busy" obviously with the same problems as above I guess ????
