greenbar Posted November 3, 2016 Report Posted November 3, 2016 england & Scotland should tell FIFA where to stick their poppy ban.a lot of good players were lost to the war.call their bluff,
sandy25 Posted November 3, 2016 Report Posted November 3, 2016 Poppy day is not religious nor anything like it ? The poppies commemorate the dead of the great war personnal to everyone of us in the UK.hardly falls into their categories .No-one has the right to interfere in the rememberance of those brave lads who gave the ultimate sacrifice for others ....WE SHALL ALWAYS REMEMBER THEM.sandy
Guest IB Posted November 3, 2016 Report Posted November 3, 2016 I was saddened by FIFA's spokesperson on TV today. She didn't name her country but spoke of a war there once and said something about not wishing to publicise? it (sorry, was more than a wee bit shocked by what she said that I honestly can't remember what she actually said). What she didn't seem to know or understand was that it wasn't a country that was engulfed in war but the whole world first in WW1 and again in WW2. It was a world-wide tragedy. Seems fitting that should be remembered.

dunc50 Posted November 10, 2016 Report Posted November 10, 2016 england & Scotland should tell FIFA where to stick their poppy ban.a lot of good players were lost to the war.call their bluff,[/quote you can be sure england will have poppeys on ,, its a f.... disgrace and a slap in the face to all the families of the glorious dead
Roland Posted November 11, 2016 Report Posted November 11, 2016 Well I don't see how they can call wearing a Poppy Political, or commercial ... except money Raised BUT then it would be classed as a 'Charity' surely and NOT political! Most wear a 'Poppy as a mark of respect of those fallen in war. Mind I see England have told the FIFA to get Stuffed and that are going a head and WELCOME a court hearing.
sandy25 Posted November 11, 2016 Report Posted November 11, 2016 Somehow think that fifa like politicians would say anything just to get in the news ...and if it goes to court well what a shambles the legal process has become but they'll achieve their goal get themselves in the news again at any cost ..Some one needs to stick it to them next thing they'll be saying u can't wear anything but whatever they call dressed can you imagine that fans in shirts and ties ?Man they'll be a lot of cauld asses that day ..all the best sandy
philg50 Posted November 11, 2016 Report Posted November 11, 2016 Just another large corrupt federation trying to tell the people that keep them in their wealthy jobs what to do ,to much of this sh-t in the world now what do they think gives them the right to interfere in this act of remembrance .
sandy25 Posted November 11, 2016 Report Posted November 11, 2016 Maybe it would have been a better idea if they had sponsored a dove release at the match to commemorate the poor guys who lost their lives and are buried on foriegn soil lots of whom dont even have a marked grave ..maybe the pigeon unions could organise this for 2018 to commemorate the centenary .every club in the land could have their own small contribution What do you think?Remember we have 2 years to organise it .Come on guys lets not forget what they gave....all the bestsandy..
