Nobody remembers average winners half the time at club fed and national level you just need a timer I'd rather have the first national wins under my belt like virtue , hodgson , etc winners is what counts to me anyway although it would be nice to time in at every race ðŸ‘which ever way you look at it there all fantastic results I can only dream about!!

Peter virtue and John hodgekinson are the best 500 plus racers in Scotland in my opinion and mark Gilbert and Geoff cooper are best in England in my opinion

not once have i said peter was a bad doo man, peter is a great doo man in a great location,and always has been, but remember the snrpc 99% of there races are win within 6 ml of the east coast, its like a east coast fed race,

but if you get a hard race then some great pigeon,s fly into the central belt and the west and can get great results also, even port glasgow, on hard days

best of luck where ever you fly, be it with the snfc or snrpc,

im sure jim donaldson came close a few times, hardest place in scotland to fly distance racing is the north of scotland, time on wing kills them

So what your saying Davy someone could win all the old bird nationals and doesn't bother racing ybs and someone times in and not in the top 50 of any but goes to them all that's the better result sorry don't wear that yin Davy it's all about the winning but each to their own if you were a fed racer Davy and constantly being out the top ten you'd be happy way that as long as you won the averages?

i agree with you, if you win your section your as good as the winner, ( as long as your not miles behind in time ) its not hard to read a race and work out the best doo,s in the race,

I totally agree Vinnie, a good fancier I know once said to me he could pick 2 members out of every club in every section of the SNFC/SNRPC and send them onto the east coast and they would be superstars overnight. Even flying in your designated section is still very unfair at times when you have fliers 26 miles east and south of you. These superstars mentioned on this thread will have a 100 MILE line of folk queuing up wanting to buy their ybs ( or will they ? ) However, we will carry on regardless , good luck to everyone going to Roye.
