Cooheed Posted July 2, 2016 Report Posted July 2, 2016 should the snfc have there own transport and there own baskets whats your thoughts
blaz Posted July 2, 2016 Report Posted July 2, 2016 yes I think they should have both .got enough members and money
Cooheed Posted July 2, 2016 Author Report Posted July 2, 2016 should the snfc have there own transport and there own baskets whats your thoughtsthe reason i am asking this was the ayrshire doos being transported to newmains on an open works pickup
DJWa Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 should the snfc have there own transport and there own baskets whats your thoughts what 2 transporters for 7 races with most races only 1 needed to go to the racepointand not even 1 needed to go when getting a lift from another organisation that would be a total waste of money

Lot o fowlk cannae see the woods for the trees.
Big Davie Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 should the snfc have there own transport and there own baskets whats your thoughtsthe reason i am asking this was the ayrshire doos being transported to newmains on an open works pickupSeen this pickup truck arrive at Newmains and agree that transport of these birds could have been better' however the fact that the SNFC don't own a transporter or baskets has nothing to do with how they were ferried in to Newmains, that's down to the guys in Ayrshire who arranged transport.
Big Davie Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 Don't think for a minute that the SNFC need to purchase there own transporters or baskets as the cost and upkeep could not be justified' however their are far better federation transporters available in Scotland than the ones the SNFC currently use.
frank-123 Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 Think it would be a good idea if they could do a wee ETS school during the winter. Been pretty poor that guys don't know how to use the Tauris or Bricon Systems. Couple of pints and a few sandwiches after an hour or two going through the systems would be money well spent.

JohnQuinn Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 what 2 transporters for 7 races with most races only 1 needed to go to the racepointand not even 1 needed to go when getting a lift from another organisation that would be a total waste of money There was a Good full sized Geraldy on offer from one of the Welsh organisations for about £6k. 6,000brds capacity and modern feeding/watering system in place. We don't need tae pay out fortunes for new transporters and we would have the freedom to move marking/Racing to suit when the weather forecasts tell us there is NO CHANCE of a race on the intended date. It s the self reliance we need moving forward.

Maybe add on how to help out at a marking station too,

dal2 Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 Problem with owning a wagon is the cost of upkeep aswell as the mot testing etc......for 7 races would it be viable?
We man Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 Maybe add on how to help out at a marking station too,Yes,and add on how to handle a pigeon.
DJL Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 Maybe add on how to help out at a marking station too, Or set a wind up Benzing clock. Couldnae resist that
clockman Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 Or set a wind up Benzing clock. Couldnae resist that Is it still going. It was on Antiques Roadshow.

greenbar Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 Who,s transporter were the SNfc using this week?
