dkj Posted June 14, 2016 Report Posted June 14, 2016 so if everyone in fed does this david then the fed has no race .why have a fed program ? any fed can go with the snfc and save the fed money from the coast, win win for everbody
tommy bhoys Posted June 14, 2016 Report Posted June 14, 2016 any fed can go with the snfc and save the fed money from the coast, win win for everbodybut not every one on that page david im away tae a wee race way 45 im cheaper sending way fed than national and prefer club racing to be honest
dkj Posted June 14, 2016 Report Posted June 14, 2016 but not every one on that page david im away tae a wee race way 45 im cheaper sending way fed than national and prefer club racing to be honest tommy money nothing to do with it, you can afford it, think of the credit winning with the snfc at the coast, if it was me and i topped the fed at the coast, i would be gutted that i was not at the snfc with it, over the years our fed had coast races, and i never went with them, everyone of my pigeons went with the snfc, but again thats me,

gulkie Posted June 14, 2016 Report Posted June 14, 2016 I think lanarkshire fed and a few others should be with the national. :partick-thistle-Crest:Your not alone ther Alec

tommy bhoys Posted June 14, 2016 Report Posted June 14, 2016 best of luck tommy anywayaye same tae you david hope yer second
Cooheed Posted June 14, 2016 Report Posted June 14, 2016 nationals should be across water some fed races are more doos than nationals as hotrod said if you dont support the fed it would soon fold then whos transport would the national use , they would need to spend money then best of luck to everyone no matter where or who they send with
dms5686 Posted June 14, 2016 Report Posted June 14, 2016 Snfc races should be for over the waterAgree totally
moscow master Posted June 14, 2016 Report Posted June 14, 2016 how many you got goin Ricky?I'll muster up 4 Baz scraping the barrel but I'll get yin wither it walks it or no is a different story 😂😂
blucock Posted June 14, 2016 Report Posted June 14, 2016 Properly disagree Nationals should be over the water only - every major pigeon racing country in the world has short and middle distance nationals for me you can have a national regardless almost of distance - why no have it with shortest lofts doing 200 mile? In the end we are a declining membership and in the current climate with returns especially to the west side of the country if nationals were only over the water you'd be lucky to scrape a decent sized fed birdage at some of them The inland nationals were a step forward in Scottish racing - that's just my opinion I think it helps the future of the sport. I think there is as much kudos beating 4-5000 doos at 300 mile than 1800 at 450 There will always be a thrill at the proper "distance" especially the blue riband and channel - the future is including more folk to encourage national racing and the inland races help that
VMS Posted June 14, 2016 Report Posted June 14, 2016 First race for me should be Ypres and leave the inland races to the Federations.
andy Posted June 14, 2016 Report Posted June 14, 2016 How many are u sending Andy do u put some in fed as wellAll mine duplicated into Fed Open Race kiddo.

Its still the same fanciers that go to these races and the inland races hasn't helped in any way imo, ps.I still enjoy them and will not miss them but the channel races is what the SNFC was founded on and should probably try and go back to that.
blucock Posted June 14, 2016 Report Posted June 14, 2016 If nothing else Derek it gives National racing to lofts that wouldn't normally have a chance of winning a national. Alot of people especially nowadays don't or can't find the time to prepare and then physically wait for channel doos and on a hard race can be fully two days out of your time. I massively prefer the channel to any other type of racing but for busy people having to work weekends and having many other interests, family time etc the modern world isn't helping the channel send either Like you say the theory above hasn't seemed to help the likes of the GC birdage, that I think was the idea as you say and I would still think that being able to duplicate fed birds into inland Nats helps feds (it does ours we had only 410 doos at Buckingham) balance the books Each to their own, mind. Our senior partner dictates where we send and a channel race is a rarity for us sadly - best of luck this week and for the upcoming "big yins"!! Baz
