I understood Ayrshire was joining Glasgow and South Lanarkshire at Wetherby, then Lanarkshire also came in at the next race. Don't know the details, but think it was meant to be joint libs.

We should just use the snfc rules if u want to compete get SHU distances simple...

And what about members that are not shu members or non rpra how do they get distances ? ,to do a result you have to be measured by one or other

If this is the only issue stopping this from happening then im afraid, we as pigeonmen are needing a hard boot in the b.... Why does the SHU or RPRA not charge a special one off £1 price per race for measuring any non member? They only need your co ordinates, expletive remove its not rocket science.

I am a member of both ,but some aren't and prob won't join one or the other , but your right del if they could do that for distances then off we go mate .

Some fanciers are quite simply not interested in this type of competition and don't put any credibility in regards to this sort ov racing they want their birds to race within the small convoy schooling their birds for the distance races.some real top class distance fanciers with this point ov view

So if we all think it's a good idea,tell you club members to vote to raise it at fed level and say it's the members who want it done. Distances are no insurmountable problem ?

well this is scotland del so all those who have shu distances are in the amalgamation the rest will need tae get them tae be in it otherwise they miss oot simple as that

I understand where yer coming fae Tommy but what your suggesting is guys ( non SHU members ) will have to pay £17 plus for a couple of distances , its just ludicrous imo and a compromise must be in order.

Do you think the Amalgamation is a Lanarkshire thing Tommy ? Its not, its about all the feds in the west side, regardless of what Union they belong to. No discrimination whatsoever should be tolerated here.Its about solidarity, building bridges and stopping all the sweetie wife pi sh that's went on for years. If its to take off then everybody over here should be equal and accepted and sing off the same hymn sheet. When it was run before, Lanarkshire, under Ian Henderson, tried to rule it and that's why it fell on its face. Now your fed has level headed and fair minded officials it has and will continue to go from strength to strength. Lets get the Amalgamation up and running and stop talking a good game.

distances are not the only problem rules on ets are another factor
