geordie1234 Posted September 11, 2015 Report Posted September 11, 2015 I fancy wintering my hens in the aviary all winter I know some do this down south but does anyone do it up here (scotland)? I know our winters can be a bit worse with driving rain etc so unsure....the aviary has 3 sides and a clear roof with the floor grilled and the one remaining side open so it's not totally out in the elements

They said it was good for respiratory . But it would be a lot warmer over there!!
gulkie Posted September 11, 2015 Report Posted September 11, 2015 Hi George a lot of the wild birds that winter here survive and so will Yours That is if they are healthy , and going by your racing season they are .go for it mate.
