Lol, not far from the truth lol

The wholet central west of Scotland was at Otterburn, are they all wrong?

Yes. In my opinion it's pure mental to encourage a dog leg then moan about clashing as they cross the lines of other feds! As I say just my opinion and I am sure there will be plenty to give me a few peters lol

Even if we did all race the west route, if we were all at penrith for instance, we would probably still lib 15 minutes apart!

I don't think your are giving our controllers enuff credit. 15 minutes isn't enough of a gap for widow cocks and hens so should never happen. Do your think your racing is much better on the east?

I am a huge believer in racing on a straight line. Pigeons are not programmed to navigate round corners.

I am also a great believer that, if you have a problem which stops you achieving your objectives then identify that problem and remove it from the equation.

Do you think it's time the whole west went back down the west route,Gareth?

We had a bad year down west last year (Lanarkshire fed) and that is why we are back down east this year, no doubt last year was down to string west winds with the young birds, for what its worth i dont believe one is better than the other as i can think back to 2012 and 2013 when the returns were great down the west of the pennines, fanciers have short memories.

Ask the lads in the midland fed who 5 years ago had 200 members. :partick-thistle-Crest:

Surely the east side feds race down the east Stuart? Did I read Roberts post wrong where he said that ayrshire and Glasgow birds came together?

Don't understand this. Surely Mr Bosworth races on the EAST cos he stays on the EAST?

Something happened today with the glasgow birds! Not sure what but too many birds missing today! :partick-thistle-Crest:

John, we used to go from Dunbar to St Boswell, but last year it was a bad race and was dropped for this year, but going from Dunbar to Otterburn was about a 80 swing south, this isn't ideal and me and my brother thought this was going to be a sticky race but they have to go, we trained Thu & Fri from Newbiggins this week to give the birds a chance if they came this route, but it looks like they did the dog leg up and around, I don't kbow what the answer is but we expected this to happen this week, but hoped for the best, dreading Aycliff :(

P.S my young birds have been training since MAY & June with all the National birds, same returns as everyone else.

Do you know where otterburn is ? No Feds would be near our birds today ,apart from midland coming up from Penrith area u. ,we had a clear path . Ayrshire and Glasgow 1/2 hour apart . ??? Nothing out of the ordinary there ,two birds from different races coming together , what can one not catch up with later ones from others ??.

John, if the top birds home in a National race straight home then the west boys should race the west route, John Bosworth( one of the best in Scotland) races East staying in the East, every west fed who have tried the west route over the last 5 years have failed. the West boys would love to race the West route but, East is the way the birds home so "East is East", whether we like it or not.

expletive remove Stuart calm yersel. Half an hour enuff? . Would you agree it would be easier to control a rave in a straight line?

Whats up with going from Dunbar to Otterburn? Some fanciers have forgot on the 3rd or 4th yb race it is usually a disaster , whether its inexperienced birds being jumped in or YBS that causes it, who knows but look back many years and race number 3 or 4 in the ybs is usually disastrous.ps. The west route for me was very good for returns but id still go for east marginally.

If you read my first post Stuart you will see I say that controllers need our support. My question is this........why are their so many ayrshire, Glasgow etc ybs floating around solway? That's not on any line is it
