DJWa Posted October 9, 2014 Report Posted October 9, 2014 looks ok apart from the y/b national give a thought to the lads in the north section some flying around 400 miles from buckingham
dal2 Posted October 9, 2014 Report Posted October 9, 2014 Looks ok. No sure about Cherbourg for sea weather? perhaps further inland? Think the Ypres race would have to be included
Guest Basin View Posted October 9, 2014 Report Posted October 9, 2014 Looks a good programme, race points central to English south coast, regardless of wind should get over the water into the UK then they can make there way up country whether they go up the east, middle or west, and hopefully results will show a good spread across all sections. Would like to see Y/bird back to Leicester, better distance for the further flyers so as not to get shut out.
yeboah Posted October 9, 2014 Report Posted October 9, 2014 Most sensible programme that's been posted fair to all Straight down the middleWell done Davy
Delboy Posted October 9, 2014 Report Posted October 9, 2014 Chelmsford 1 - 346 mls, Chelmsford 2 - 346 mls, Gold Cup Liege - 542 mls, Brugge - 446 mls, longest race Luxemburg city - 612 mls, both on same weekend) Brussels - 494 mls, yb National Leicester 261 mls. Chelmsford 2 and Brugge both with yearling nationals incorporated Food for thought!
Rooster J. Cogburn Posted October 9, 2014 Report Posted October 9, 2014 I don't think it would be a bad idea to make the first inland race from Peterborough, inkeeping with the biggest percentage of the Scottish feds. Whether they would want to go wi the national is a different story mind you Apart from that I think Maidstone,Alencon,Ypres and Clermont are working pretty well.

Delboy Posted October 10, 2014 Report Posted October 10, 2014 wots yer thoughts on clashing with the Belgians? Obviously, same as racing from France, try and avoid clashing .It always comes down to the SNFC having flexibility to choose when they mark and lib the pigeons.

hotrod Posted October 10, 2014 Report Posted October 10, 2014 I think it's ALL about returns and races , Ypres has been the most successful / best race on the Callander since it's inception , why do think this is , ok it's a short channel race , I'm more in the belief that it's more to do with bops along the south coast of England picking them off turning them back u name it , but further round the corner so to speak they are maybe getting a wee break and getting accross into mainland Britain . It's just a theory of mine .so would like to see more races from that route on that basis only .
