what are peoples views on training when they are racing. do people stop after 1st race or continue training?

in order to win races do they need a toss or two a week?

My opinion is it is the wrong time to race or train. Too many percies training their YB's. If you are going to race and hope to win, then you have to train them as well. :)

If you want to be successful in sprint based racing train as often as the weather allows right through the program. This training/schooling as youngsters will pay dividends too when they're raced as old birds.

bang on tony my youngbirds train 2 or three times a week every week all through the season even if they dont win as youngbirds its about getting there head right for the future but up here everytime you put them in the basket you take the chance of bop getting them but they have to go imo

Think its a must...far too many uneducated birds been sent to races these days ...

Like sending a kid to high school without being at primary

thinks theres a few went to uni straight from nursery around lol

With only the fed open and the national races to go in my opinion if they are not right at this late stage training them would be the last thing I would do

Hens have last 7 days clocked up 325 mls in difficult conditions and homed really well

All about rest and motivation which at present has went to plan

As my learned friend has told me on countless occasions they are not Machine's Michael
