After many years of enjoying pigeons as a hobby,i finally joined a club, and due to 1 thing and another will be having my first race this weekend with the young birds,then the bomb shell, the wife has decided to move house, its a new development so a loft is a definate no no, so after this season i,ll need to give everything up :emoticon-0179-headbang: :emoticon-0179-headbang: :emoticon-0179-headbang:

yea guys i did have a say, and the new house is our dream house so it was a joint decision, very sad but hay ho thats life, and you never know once we get settled and get to know the new neighbours maybe start up again lol

Is there not any local fanciers on compounds or allotments that you could get a space on?

thats going a bit to far george ye cant put yer wife on an alotment lol then again there are some nice ones

Well hope the good lady earns enough to buy herself another house lol. By the way no law etc. can stop you having pigeons. No council etc. etc regardless what they say, imply or threaten. But then with the wife sharing the houses no problem eh!

Good luck after buying a new loft and 12 or so at two snfc sales 10 van reets from masarella and ten win van lee mans a wish it was her that left and relocated and no me lol that was 12 years ago

Roland on nearly all new propewrty here the title deeds say no livestock birds chickens pigeons rabbits 1 dog or cat etc so you know the score beforew you buy

On the question of taking your pigeons with you: Assuming your new garden is big enough it is well worthwhile asking your lawyer (when doing the normal conveyancing searches that you already pay them for) to check if there are any onerous conditions ("burdens") attached to the property e.g that prevent your keeping pigeons, and even if there are, you might get agreement from your neighbours which once given mean that that condition 'falls' after a set period, and can no longer be enforced.

well I got the ultimatum from her few year back??? , its they bloody birds or me take your pick, not a hard decision t make, the birds and me doing great no seen her in 7 year!!! just champion
