Ridiculous to call the race off now as the forecasts have been getting better all week for the weekend............FORECAST--- A prediction, as of coming events or conditions..  SO EVERY WEEK IS THE SAME ... WEATHER IS NOT GURARANTEED ,

A very valid point, as you say a forecast is only a prediction, and I always maintained that birds should be at a race point in the hope of having a race of some sort whether they have to be brought back to a shorter race point or brought back home if no race can be held.

If the doos are'nt at the racepoint there is no chance of us having a race :( In the last couple of years a lot of people have laughed at us when we basketed on a friday when they all thought we had no chance of a race on the saturday and they put their racing back 24hrs but the weather turned out ok on the saturday and we had good racing   ) but now the shoe is on the other foot and we have cancelled our race altogether this weekend and most of the other feds have basketed tonight and they are all laughing at us ::) ::) ::) ::)

Seven away with the Glasgow Fed half of what is left after the race last week where seven were dropped in appalling conditions, believe one Clydebank member had two reported in Wales!!!!!!!! only hearsay on my part but given the conditions would not surprise me maybe mine went with them :'( :'(

Good for the midlands but remember there no happy unless there geeting wiped out.

not this year we have our own transporter and a good race controller in andy mckee. And i  started off with 42 have 35 to race and 1 injured soo touch wood a think we be ok  , the birds have to be at the race point to stand a chance of a lib , it will be a big jump next week

What would have happened if the birds were brought back to Hexham again?? The controller would have been strung up. I think there has been alot of pressure put on the control team of late but I do agree, it was maybe a bit hasty cancelling race. The delegates decided that there would be no changes to race programme from now on.That, in itself puts alot of undue pressure on Mr.H and his team.Who the *expletive removed* would want to be a race controller? :o

Derek i was told we would be sitting at wakefield until we got a race after the meeting the other night ( within reason of course ) but to now cancel it altogether i think is a shambles mate

Homer i have known Jim Hannah since i was a young boy and i like and admire him both as a person and a pigeon man but he was wrong to cancel our race tonight mate and it has left us in limbo just now but i dont want to send my yearlings to Newark the week before the fed duplication race no way that's what i will be objecting too as i think if they went back to Wakefield next week we would get a lot more doos at the race mate...

The names Alan Torrance...just in case anybody thinks i am hiding behind a username ;)

Hi

You are wrong , The controller has absolute power to bring back to any race point he wishes

The delegates only said that the race program should continue as per book of which

I disagree

Cheers
