Guest Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 Hi Yes its cancelled and as some clubs dont have marking facilites to mark Saturdays no race Cheers Homer 49 Why cant lanarkshire basket tonight for a Sunday race that would be the norm. :-/Or is there some other issue leading to this decision
ALF Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 Why cant lanarkshire basket tonight for a Sunday race that would be the norm. :-/Or is there some other issue leading to this decision I'd like an answer to this question
frank-123 Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 central marking for saturday surely was an option

frank-123 Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 why not just take the birds down the road on a friday if there is no race then drop the baskets back off on sunday at the clubs its happened many times before they even brought them back i let the go 20 odd miles away a few years ago you just never know if the weather might change i have seen weather forecaster get it wrong before
Guest bigda Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 think the rule was we go, to the race point regardless, and bring them back home if required.
Guest Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 Could the reason we cannot basket tonight for a Sunday race be, that the haulier will not sit overnight.???????????????????????????

jonl6280 Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 Ridiculous to call the race off now as the forecasts have been getting better all week for the weekend............FORECAST--- A prediction, as of coming events or conditions.. SO EVERY WEEK IS THE SAME ... WEATHER IS NOT GURARANTEED , SO NEXT WEEK SHOULD BE CANCELLED TOO.... :-/ JELLY FISH..............NO BACK BONE
harky Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 Wonder what the real reason is for race being cancelled, in all my years keeping pigeons ive only ever known Lanarkshire fed to cancel one race and that was because of U.F.O.S at race site
Guest bigda Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 all kidding a side, i think it might be the right decision, we await to sconce :X
