Guest bigda Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 well aberdeen to bourges by plain is 720 mile
Guest IB Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 nope the nat men will be away to bourges no ypres ;D They are two different races a week apart. I'll maybe try a yearling or two to Ypres, I'd never dream of doing that for Bourges ~ its a challenge and a half that one ~ and one is all I can see for it right now..
Guest bigda Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 and glasgow to bourges is 669 mile airport a differance of 100 mile just 17 hours on the wing at 40 mph
JADE Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 eastborne will be ok as the lanarkshire will be there with a few pilgrams but thre main nat men will be away to the gold cup so it will just be as if we have when our self the same will happen at ypres as the nat will want to go to bourges the lanark shire wins again but the national looses as the birdage from lanarkshire will be 200 at the most to it 400 for eastborne max could use couriers ;D dont know why you have so much to say about snfc when you are not a member. you obviously know very little about long distance racing. eastbourne wont affect the reims entry because almost every fed in scotland went to the south coast that weekend before the snfc put eastbourne in the programme. distance fliers have their gold cup birds prepared before eastbourne. there is a hard core of dedicated distance men who go to the longest race and there is no way they will send there birds to ypres instead. going by the last two years ypres seems to be a favoured race for yearlings after eastbourne. there was at least one yearling on the result from newbury, eastbourne, ypres and falaise last year. fantastic performance
Guest stb- Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 Well it's approx 560 tae me reims to me 576 nantes 610

codlips Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 cod lips no i dont usualy compete any way i just wondered if u were putting entry 2 the inlands because 4 the last week u've done nothing but belittle the inland nationals despite fanciers from all over scotland sending excellent birdages to them and endorsing them in the true spirit of our sport and yet i see u use lesser distances with lesser birdages in ur advert, in recent years anyway 2 sell ur birds 1 other thing walter if cairnbulg is 500 miles from hastings (nearer 480 mile?) bourges might be 1500 mile by ur measuring
ALF Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 reims to me 576 nantes 610 566 TAE US IN HAMILTON A'VE JIST BEEN TELT ??) ??) ;D ;D ;D

Guest IB Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 I think the birdage going to the Inland Nationals shows that it is catering for a need in Scotland. Seems an excellent introduction to National racing, and gets the SNFC more members who then might also try the channel. Ticking all the boxes, in my opinion, and shouldn't be knocked..

Guest stb- Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 I KNOW A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO WOULD DISAGREE WITH YOU ON THAT 1 IAN Think the inland nats are wasting the channel racing. The inland birdage seems to grow at the exspence of the channel JMO
