jake12 Posted May 1, 2014 Report Posted May 1, 2014 Lol. Both the pocket clock and the base station in the photos are spare Geordie .and will never be used in the fed . I would be interested to know if it would work if you put it together again. I was told the there is some part in side it that is light sensitive and if opened it would lose the working data held in it. That of course may be to stop us fitting batteries ourselves. :emoticon-0126-nerd:

peter pandy Posted May 2, 2014 Report Posted May 2, 2014 I am convinced the batteries in the base station are rechargeable due to when switched on after the winter lying in a drawer "Batteries need replacing" warning came on however after clearing and switched on for 2 days I turned it off for 1 hour and switched back on. Result no warning message and working perfectly.

William Reid Posted May 3, 2014 Author Report Posted May 3, 2014 J. M. O average life span for a base station getting used for six months and then not used during the winter months should be about 8/9 years .
