Does anyone know the laws on a garden shed! I'm putting one up in my back garden next week , can I put it anywhere I want in my garden -ie next to me and my neighbour's fence ?

Can put a shed where you want as long as it's just a shed , I'll be building one when get my other jobs done , just be thoughtful where you put it don't be blocking out there light / greenhouse sun ;)

google it , laws changed here about 2 years ago (generally for the better) but well worth a look just to get it right.

Local laws apply, there will be a minimum distance from you boundary, height restriction before planning permission or building warrant is needed. Gone are the good old days when " yi kid day what yi liked ", much depends on how the neighbours react to it.

I think the laws are might be different for different areas,local to me it's one metre from any boundary,there's also a height restriction.

a wee chap at the neighbours door telling them what you want to do and asking if will cause them any problem works wonders m8 and if your a doo man even more so neighbours can make a fanciers life a misery as many of us know so keep them sweet also gets you on speaking terms which helps to
