walterboswell59 Posted November 18, 2013 Report Posted November 18, 2013 I don't want to denigrate the use of this product but I suggest you check out the safety recommendations on Wikipedia as I certainly would not use it where their is the possibility of contracting silicosis. However each to their own and chickens don't have to race or use their lungs apart from breathing. They also only have a life span of 6 years.i will be ok then peter i already have it m8

Kyleakin Lofts Posted November 19, 2013 Report Posted November 19, 2013 did you try mixing it in water and putting it in the bath m8 or with some oil on the feed Used it on the feed with oil. It was ok, but at recommended dose was very heavy laden, so would use less. Didn't use it in the bath, but as a floor dressing was very light and therefore dusty, lifting when they flew. It needs mixed to keep it down. Found it too fussy and didn't notice any benefit.
greenlands Posted November 19, 2013 Report Posted November 19, 2013 Gave it a try a while back. It was very dusty.Mix it with sand if you're putting it on the loft floor .Also forgot to mention about putting it under nest pans to keep them clear of red mite and definitely reduces moths in the loft.
philg50 Posted November 19, 2013 Report Posted November 19, 2013 Diatomaceous earth feed grade look it up on computer ,dust perches ,nest boxes any where they perch ,also add to bath water good stuff in my opinion.
