Henrik Posted November 18, 2013 Report Posted November 18, 2013 If your worried about your hands getting cold use warm water
TheHigg Posted November 18, 2013 Author Report Posted November 18, 2013 :emoticon-0140-rofl: warm water it shall be then doo you not think it is a bit cold for the birds as in sitting in the loft trying to dry out
paddymac Posted November 18, 2013 Report Posted November 18, 2013 I would do it now before it really gets cold and using the warm water will help it to soak into the birds a lot better than using cold water
Guest bigda Posted November 18, 2013 Report Posted November 18, 2013 (edited) dont see why you would want to uses this product, it cant do any more than ivermectin would do this is the type of stuff framers once used as a dip, but failed in what it said on the tin, they moved onto ivermectin 5% a cheaper method would be the use of the powder form, but the best is ivermectin if its the farmers choice thats good enough for me Edited November 18, 2013 by bigda
walterboswell59 Posted November 18, 2013 Report Posted November 18, 2013 dan ive been using one spot ivemectin all year and it did not clear the quill mite m8 and i was also told over use or to strong can make pigeons sterile so its back to cloracarb for me
Guest IB Posted November 18, 2013 Report Posted November 18, 2013 A while since I've had this [think it's off the market now] but seem to remember that the dip is half the contents, and into lukewarm water.

peter pandy Posted November 18, 2013 Report Posted November 18, 2013 Is their a possibility that the use of Ivermectin and YBS be related as it comes to mind that both appeared about the same time. Just throwing something in the pot to get the brain cells working.

Just throwing something in the pot to get the brain cells working.I think YBS and Darkness system are linked, England we getting YBS well before Scotland, and For me the first time we tried the Darkness we got YBS and every year after, but the last 3 - 4 years we haven't done it, we still got it but it was more subtle and easier to control, this year we didn't get it at all.We were at the North Ayrshire moot on Saturday and Gerry Clements said he has had YBS every year since 1994 then later told us he has been doing the darkness system since 1994!

peter pandy Posted November 18, 2013 Report Posted November 18, 2013 I don't want to denigrate the use of this product but I suggest you check out the safety recommendations on Wikipedia as I certainly would not use it where their is the possibility of contracting silicosis. However each to their own and chickens don't have to race or use their lungs apart from breathing. They also only have a life span of 6 years.
