there always the fire fund on here that people can donate too

I posted on the Hamilton Fires thread that it seems there is no organised action. Whilst it is good that the clubs in their Fed may give financial assistance I had thought that the pigeon chat sites would have been more active with financial assistance. I know it may be early yet, I cannot even begin to imagine how these lads must be feeling, but Alf has started to repair his OB loft and has had some help from fanciers, but as yet there has been no organised help for these guys.

I do so hope that the other fellas will remain in the fancy, but it seems their lofts have been totally destroyed. so it is not repairs, but completely new lofts that are required and they are not cheap.

operation clean up begun in earnest today stripped the rest of the wood of 2 of the burned lofts started a fire burnt all the torched/burned wood and the verandah we pulled all the burnt tin sheets out into the park aswell as pulling out a few bits of perspex that had been burned etc and tried to get all the ashes tidied up a bit aswell ready to barra away the morra then i hope to get the 8x4 sheets up from my mate(need to phone Frank123 for a loan of his pick up as Vince's is off the road just now)then the work on my big loft will start and i hope to get all the burned wood of the front of it and the plywood on and get it looking like a loft again some time this week.

As for John he has lost 2 lofts all his tools etc the same as me and lost most of his birds aswell he has 1 loft (his old bird loft) which is burnt on the front and side but is repairable too it will be a long hard road back but we are taking our time and we will get there in the end.

Thanks ALF

PB has an Arson fund to help with this type of case and ALF has all the details as stated he wants time to decide and he has been told that is not a problem all he has to do is decide when he wants help

If members wish to donate to the Fund please contact me and I will deal with it

Them that wish to donate 2014 youngster I will keep a note of them and we will hold a sale to replenish the Fund

We have change the system so we can help when needed not 3 or 4 months later which is the time it takes to hold a sale collect donors sell the bird , collect in the cash

Archie and I have been working on this for a few months to try and help victims quicker

Good to hear Alf. I know Fifer said the site had it covered, but we heard nothing more since that. I am glad you will have some financial backing and would like to donate, so if info could be posted, I shall. I think I may already have Ian's Paypal if that is the correct place, but others may not.
