William Reid Posted October 10, 2013 Report Posted October 10, 2013 did not pay 500 for him he was a cheap one 300 dell lol but payed 1300 pounds for two direct sons of debarcelona and they were 11 year olds and have plenty winners off them but for some reason there sons and daughters are better breeders than the old cocks one of them is 17 and not missed an egg the other missed an odd one gave him to billy 99 a wee while ago and filled them no bother payed 8oo pounds for the direct daughter of smarged 2 when paired to his own daughter got five years breeding off her and her and the old cocks blood is in almost every bird in the loft the house of aarden bought a full brother of one my debarcelona sons for 35oo at blackpool for one a bit younger so i got a bargain i think and mines breed winners would not part with these birds as no one has this blood any more that are prepared to sell 98 percent of the birds in my loft is at least a granchild of a 6 or 7 hundred mile national winner so im looking forward to getting better but as you know it does not always work out that way m8Walter cheq cock GB98K ----- = 10 young birds and never missed one egg :emoticon-0140-rofl:

andy Burgess Posted October 13, 2014 Author Report Posted October 13, 2014 just looked at this again from a year ago, might be of interest for some to read
walterboswell59 Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 here is a wee update on this post the cock that was 18th sect alencon national 1st sect 5th open clermont national is a 3year old latebred treated the way i explained in this post and bred for the job so it does work if your birds are good and you are prepared to put a bit of work and time into them as ive had to dispose of around 20 of my yb team through illness ill be racing lots of latebreds next year as that will be the bulk of my team
paddymac Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 It'll be good to read your updates on this venture during next years racing Walter to see how the latebreds have faired, I'm sure it will make interesting reading as well as your own thoughts on how they performed
