hotrod Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 what race were u thinking of joining up? Uttoxeter I would say if we are goin down the west .
bibendium Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 The only talk of an amal or combine has been done on here....we only voted in confidence to give the committee the permission to approach other feds that surround us and give them the opportunity to be convoyed ...no amal no combine just convoying as it makes logistical sense While I agree and am all for Joint Libs etc, , the one flaw here is your statment, approach other feds that surround us and give them the opportunity to be convoyed ...no amal no combine just convoying as it makes logistical sense, makes it look like Lanarkshire are looking for Feds to help finance your new transporters.
bibendium Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 Considering they will be paid off regardless off the convoying situation I would say that is incorrect. ...the main message today was safety in numbers and for the benefit of the pigeons which is more important than anything else.....we can easily go ourselves not many other feds can say the same I am not trying to be negative, As I said I would welcome joint libs but I think the feds together should decide the programme not one fed dominating .jmo
dms5686 Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 Has the lananarkshire members given there officials freedom to change racepoints to suit an amalgamation with other feds
walterboswell59 Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 Has the lananarkshire members given there officials freedom to change racepoints to suit an amalgamation with other feds lanarkshire is only talking about joint convoying at this stage nothing else m8 one step at a time
dms5686 Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 Not as far as I'm aware when something similar was mentioned it was noted that would have to be changed at the agm How the Caledonian combine works is each fed makes there program then the officials of each fed meet and come to an agreement for a final race programme quite sure if everyone wants it to work that would be the best system
geordie1234 Posted October 5, 2013 Author Report Posted October 5, 2013 lanarkshire is only talking about joint convoying at this stage nothing else m8 one step at a timeWell said

JohnQuinn Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 The message to the officials from the members yesterday was quite resounding, that the members have total confidence in their top table and have supported us in the knowledge that we would not agree to anything, with anyone, that was detrimental to the Federation. As i said when opening the meeting, there is a lot of talking to be done before anything can be agreed and i dare say give and take too, to everyone's satisfaction, Anything other than that is doomed to fail before it gets off the ground, because the other potential Federation officials will not do anything detrimental to their Federation's interest's either. In saying that, in the large part the other Federation official's were very encouraging when i spoke with them, so i hope to maintain the mutual respect already established, and hope the members of the other Federations involved, give their own official's the same support and encouragement that our member's gave to us yesterday. Rest assured if the other Federation members do give that support, we will get this up and running. Faint Hearts Never won Fair maiden.

Guest stb- Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 Great looking program ,and good that joint convoying is a possibility , only prob I can see is if we still go down the east , that will be decided at fed AGM .a hope we do go down the east stut , i would rather see what the outcome is first going right down that side . I dont think racing on the east is bad at all jmo and its better for me going on the west as get better measurments and better geographical location .but ill stick to east

Because once or twice I disagreed with wee davie on lib times , so if our fed wants me to control our races then I would need an input into any joint lib .
