Would love a corridor on front of loft then you can have one trap one ets and more important one entrance for life for your birds :)

Have a four foot wide corridor running the full length on my corridor and wouldn't be without it..I also can clean and re fill my drinkers from the corridor aswell

I think it's better for the doos aswell as your not annoying them in there section either

I also will be looking at possibly hainge the one trap aswell but the only prob I have is if I fly cocks or hens separately they could trap into the corridor and fly up and down seeing each other defeating the purpose of keeping them separate

you could put hinged doors so you can block off sections ;)

A corridor in your loft is only for the pigeon fanciers benefit.pigeons don't give a .*expletive removed* if there is corridor or not .JMO.

Wrong

I'm sure they prefer we walking past in a corridor instead of disturbing them in their section

There are no corridors under a bridge.

Why have a nice big open loft then close it down as I said its only for the doo mans benefit .but don't get me wrong i don't have a problem with that . :animatedpigeons:

My loft would be ten ft wide if I never have my corridor so imo too big

corridor is good for uself George ...keeping sections smaller ...easier to control birds...but what Billy is saying the birds will no different if 10ft or 6ft..they will be either happy at loft environment or not.

Over the years I have tried loads of different ideas on pigeon lofts which have included corridors. I have come to the conclusion that corridors are for people and don't benefit pigeons at all. Many people like to show their friends their pigeons and having a corridor is very convenient for things like that. Personally I think that you should never allow anybody into your loft and never to handle the pigeons. I believe that the maximum width of a pigeon loft should be 6' and no more. Anything that is placed between pigeons and the sun is bad. I know I go on about it but there is no more important thing to promote pigeons health than sunshine and oxygen. When you have a 6' wide loft without a corridor and with an aviary similar to the Red Rose Loft design the birds get very tame and can spend all the time they want out in the fresh air and the sun. Since I built a modified Red Rose type of loft my pigeons have won an awful lot of races. This year alone I was in hospital early in the year and did not get started until really late breeding and racing both old birds and young birds. I thought I was unlikely to win much at all but I was wrong. I won 9 first and a lot of Fed positions including first and prominent positions at National level. OK I have good birds and a good system but I am sure that the loft has played a very important part in it all.

I would exchange a corridor for an aviary every time :)

wouldn,t mind a corridor, if fed+watered from it, would be handy if u working away,

anybody could look after them for u. instead of relyn on another pigeon fancier,

after all they still got own ones look after,
