If you decide to send her I hope you take a picture of her before you do as that maybe all you have left of her. Remember one thing she is still a baby with many years of racing or breeding ahead of her, Send her sore in the moult and you may never see her again I think we have all done it at some time just one more race and never see them again

Good luck with her with which ever way you go

Get her sent

NO NO NO what has she got to prove? she's done it. Wait till next year and see if she can reproduce herself before she starts racing as a yearling..

Thanks Derek for your kind remarks. I now have a very difficult decision regards to stopping the David Reed hen. My young birds and old birds are always mixed together and never separated therefore the young hen is not flying darkness or any other system and is now well on the body moult and is on her last three flights. So do I stop her?

well done Dougie, outstanding youngster... SHU trophy nomination with a doubt :emoticon-0123-party:

if she was darkness I would have her go all the way, the majority of young birds that fly out there skins generally fail as yearlings for some strange reason... but if a natural YB then the moult would be my deciding factor :emoticon-0138-thinking: strike while the iron is hot, Kevin Murphy and 'Rocket' was a prime example when this pigeon smashed every yearling in Scotland that year, then went onto win a silver award.

Walter, after speaking to David Reed who bred the pigeon, we have decided to stop her for the year. David tells me the grandfather of the hen is a full brother to McAloney's Shadow Image and is inbred on both sides to Shadow. Thank you and everybody else for taking an interest in the pigeon. Dougie.
