alec guinness Posted July 26, 2013 Report Posted July 26, 2013 it's no going to change let's face it i've seen the same conversations the last three years if members really want something done they need to stop sending im pretty sure something would be done quick styleI don't see this be all and end all about getting back together geo,in my immediate area there are plenty of fanciers that go to the SNRPC races that never sent to national races ever before so good luck to them and I think each to their own.

I'm no talking about joining back together I'm talking about everything that everyone has a gripe about. Has there been any real changes in the last few years except from the programme

Kyleakin Lofts Posted July 27, 2013 Report Posted July 27, 2013 Don't know what happened in the past, but I think it is time to forgive and forget. The fancy needs unity, so in Scotland there should only be 1 National. As a starting point both Nationals should agree to joint convoy, but with separate results, it makes sense, increased birdage and less requirement for English organisations to convoy our birds. The main concern for the English race controller is his birds which are in the majority, so at times this works against our birds, but we are powerless. At least with all Scottish birds going together the joint controllers have similar concerns. A greater degree of flexibility is also required. I note that the SNRPC change their arrangements to suit the weather on occasions whereas the SNFC seem to have more holdovers, which apart from being expensive are not the best for the birds.
peter2010 Posted July 27, 2013 Report Posted July 27, 2013 When I first started with doos the guy that took me under his wing would tell me how good it was to send with the national and how it was a class above fed racing ie how they were looked after and the baskets they went in ie catteralls which was totally true and when I went to the marking this year now it a total joke at Newhouse there is birds going into baskets that are a total joke ielanarkshire fed burnt better that tells you how bad they are and how far behind the snfc is and if it doesn't improve the snrpc could really benefit and it will only be the snfc fault but this is only my opinion

just ask me Posted July 27, 2013 Report Posted July 27, 2013 I don't like the idea of having a joint lib with the English unions but I could be wrong when I say this is , do there race controllers take into consideration the conditions from the midlands to Scotland before they make a decision on a lib i would imagine any good race controller would cater for all the birds on the lorry
peter2010 Posted July 27, 2013 Report Posted July 27, 2013 I would like to think so but do you honestly think he would hold the full convoy for a few hundred scottish birds.if the conditions didn't suit the scotish doos IMO I don't think they would bother for reason being could you imagine them saying sorry we did not lib as we didn't think it was clear enough for the scots doos that's why we need Togo on our own
