Iv'e had to take a job with an agency and being my fist week accepting the shifts offered. Working Wednesday night, Friday day, Saturday day and to finish off the week Sunday night. 12 to 15 hour shifts, last night sorting the birds out as it was going dark. Pigeons dont pay the the bills so work has to come first its just a pity the long shifts. But Keep :emoticon-0140-rofl: things can only get better. :animatedpigeons:

Done shifts for twenty + years before I retired,as Alan says, just get on with it mate, must admit though,I worked with a good team of lads,if I wanted a couple of hours here and there it was OK.Just repaid them when they wanted the same.

Hardest part was with young birds.

Worked shifts for 28 years and my advice is avoid if at all possible ... they disrupt the body clock and night shift especially does that for the rest of your life. When I retired for years afterwards I knew what shift I was on cos one week I'd wake at the crack of dawn, another I couldn't get out of bed before 10am, and the last I was awake all night and felt tired all day. It eventually wore off though - nowadays I sleep all night and feel tired all day.

Somebody has to do it though as the world doesn't function just between 9am and 5pm Mon to Fri.
