Wullie start 2 wks later and race through the Glasgow Fair .East winds are one thing but theses cold fronts will put your team off for the season.

So whats new its the same every year but nothing gets done about it IMO the first week in may is early enough????.The climate in these parts has changed for the worst and is here to stay for the next hundred years lol. Scrap these silly comeback races and start a few weeks later.

The only prob for some/ most on here is the national dates are set so if you don't start .or delay the start for 2/3 weeks then the birds are not out far enough to tackle the nationals when they come around , is it not about time the nationals set there dates with the provision that if the weather is far too bad and most Feds delay the start of their season ,the nationals can't put their races back even a week or so to help out , if they don't the birdage will be badly affected any thoughts ?

our weather has been better late aug sept and into october stut , was just looking at some holiday pics in ireland on the north coast 18 april 2008 and the sun was splitting the skys but you could hardly go out for the cold strong nor east winds which would cut you in 2 , seems to have remained the same last 4 or 5 yrs now but getting worse at this time :emoticon-0138-thinking: :emoticon-0138-thinking: not sure how we can sort it .

AV are a forward thinking fed, the likes of Lanarkshire fed can do the same now, with owning their own transports.

Surely its up to the individual fancier, if a race comes up and the birds are not ready just dont send them, is that maybe why the some birds are lost( birds not fit or trained properly ) to me there,s to many sheep in this sport, oh big shug is sending 6 so will i :emoticon-0127-lipssealed: if you miss a couple of races so *WHAT* at least my birds are safe in the loft jmo :emoticon-0179-headbang:
