Hi lads, I'm looking for some tips or ideas on keeping pesky cats off my loft roof. Basically my side garden walls are adjioned to each side of the loft, & the cats are walking along the wall & onto the roof. So I'm wondering what you guys do to stop them. Cheers

put gripper rods on a board on top of wall that should deter them ;)

Hi Al.Had a problem with a cat, tormented me for a while till I put this up.Never bothered the birds during the day but always about midnight and put the security lights on,always came over the wall in the same place even though the other wall was a yard lower but might have been covered with the ultra sonic deterrent.Never been back as far as I know.

Done exactly the same since I put the electric fence up round the lofts , have not had a bit of bother since keeps them out and two legged intruders as well , SHOCKING I know, But peace of mind

they should not be there in the first place , I told that to the police and the r.s.p.c.a. when I had a visit from them . :emoticon-0127-lipssealed::emoticon-0127-lipssealed::emoticon-0127-lipssealed::animatedpigeons:

You can do that but you must place a warning on your property. Without a warning you can end up going to court for injuries if the unwanted visitors of the two legged kind try to enter your premesis. To which I know all about.

Ryan , it was sorted when I put the electric fence up mate , signs right around the lofts told to do that by policeman after he had paid a visit but they were already there on the fence I was ready for them mate, So I had kept myself in the clear ,so far no cats to be seen and I can let my birds out again ,only problem now will be aerial ones and SPURS SUPPORTERS , need a solution for them can you help in anyway ha ha ha

Yeah have an idea what it is, I could just use some half inch ply or something & put a few nails through it, might try that, the *expletive removed* will only stand on it once, ha

I have cats on both sides of me and to start with I would sit out there and squirt them with water pistols to scare them away.

It scared them but they kept coming back so i mixed up washing up liquid with water in the water pistol and squirt them with that and it sticks to their fur and when they try to lick themselves clean the taste is horrible i would imagine. Haven't had any been back for a while now, few quirts with that and they soon get the idea.
