Has anyone who has pigeon lung expierenced problems with there sinuses because of pigeon lung

Sinuses killing me all week been to the docs got antibiotics been on them since monday still no difference blocked nose aswell and headaches

 

Will finish the coarse of antibiotics and go from there

PFL usually has flu symptoms and wheezing in my experience.

Had the same problem a couple of weeks ago and cleared it by sticking a finger into a jar of Vick and sticking it up my nostrils, Worked a blinking treat and was all clear within 24 hours. Try it, you have nothing to lose.

have had the same myself all week george abd my daughters havehad it last few weeks asweel , dont think its to do with pigeon lung m8 loads off it about just now

Been using that sudafed that clears the nose fpr a bit but the sinuses are a bass

pfl is a reaction like an alergy.why not ask the doctor to test you for it?also if you have the flu then why did your doctor give you antibiotics?dont know if any of you listen to bbc radio 2 but apparently docs are handing out antibiotics for anything just to shut the patients up.also the top docs in the nhs are saying becaus of all these antibiotics being taken like sweets bacterial infections are getting stronger with antibiotics not working anymore.just the same argument we are having with our pigeons and throwing antibiotics into them when they dont need it because its viral.

i agree, im presuming i have some degree of PFL, i have the flu like symptums but without a cold, also the wheezing and problems breathing when walking upstairs etc......ive also been for a chest x ray where they found a shadow on one of my lungs, which the doctor prescribed antibiotics, needless to say they made no difference whatsoever.....when cleaning out i have started to always wear a decent mask which does seem to help, altho i know i should have done this years ago.....

 

i know the majority of fanciers say PFL is caused by dust and bloom etc, but i also think the amonia in the droppings is a big factor too. JMO

ive posted this before guys i have pfl and i have had no problems since wearing a personal mini air purifier 718 ion generator off amazon 25 pounds its improved my pfl 100 percent you can were it in the car to when training you must try it

Didn't say I had the flu mate it's sinus pain and tightness around the cheeks with a blocked nose.

 

even If I don't have pfl I think a mask is the way forward

maybe ive just been lucky del but at 25 pound its worth a try m8 it was about a week or two before i felt a difference but you must have it on even if your only in loft for a second and if like me you keep baskets in your van or car mines is bad if im near wood shaveings and dropings mixed i have to use shreded paper in baskets that helps when training or transporting the birds hope it helps you m8

Ive had pfl for years and a pp3 mask does the job for me wearing a mask is a must for every pigeonman if you have pfl or not.

m8 if you can smell amonia any time in your loft you have a ventalation problem and it knocks birds off form

You said this to me once I was basketting in your club.The shavings were killing me from my baskets, changed to woodchips, big difference to my pfl.

m8 if you can smell amonia any time in your loft you have a ventalation problem and it knocks birds off form

ive not known amonia to bother pfl m8 but i know it bothers the birds is all im saying but ive been in lofts where its very strong and there birds do nothing so maybe it afects people differently m8

yes, maybe it does effect people differently walterboswell59, i have visited lofts in the past some of which do smell of amonia, and this makes me cough and my chest tighten.....i have also spoke to another fancier who i know has had PFL for over 25 years and he is of the same opinion about amonia being a contributary factor in PFL.

 

like you say tho`, we are all different, and have different theories/ideas, and i suppose it probably effects us in different ways too.....

i think your right about that david shavings with the dropings on kills me other guys its the dust others feathers its hard to fathom
