Guest bigda Posted March 29, 2013 Report Posted March 29, 2013 billy's next move should be, he sets up a few breeding pairs at different times as they will not be able to move him and his breeding birds or disturb there nests with a bit of luck that would take him up to about September then go to the court and then let them bring there disagreement with them that they will not be able to prove caused them half the amount in what they state they feared or disruption it caused as the races will be finished by then with a few court days re aranged it will drag out a bit but that will have nothing to do with billy as you know courts crime come first if he is realey smart he should nail on all over the trailer nest boxes for finshes and such like small birds get a few nest out there and bingo also
Guest stb- Posted March 29, 2013 Report Posted March 29, 2013 i would move it over to the other side of feild where it cannot be seen from road as then its not interfering with a site of natural beauty rule with it being on main coastal route . Most of the complaints are because its ,"" as they say an eyesore and wasting the natural outline""
Guest bigda Posted March 29, 2013 Report Posted March 29, 2013 if he wanted to be really smart he could put up a box with stones in it to encourage a peregrine to live in it, now wouldn't that please the RSPB or what, billy making the effort as they put nest box sites anywhere nowadays, you could have the RSPB hav ing to put up web cams and all the tourists coming to see if the peregrine has chosen its nest site as yet, with a we bit of spin telling them when it visited the lofts looking for a nest sight that could like every day lol we know the bop dont take all our birds. just think with all the tweeters being there and the RSPB making portable toilets available for every one and the council opening up fields for cars and tourists and hamburger stalls all along the road
elanco Posted March 29, 2013 Report Posted March 29, 2013 Well I personally think after following with interest the OLR is that it's been rushed, I can understand after billy billslands results in the young bird national last year how keen they were to set this up but if they had went about things in the correct procedure then I think it would have been very appealing for 2014 , they just tried to do things to quick IMO. Don't think the publicity out with the pigeon fancy has done the sport any good. No winners in this situation .
billy_g Posted March 30, 2013 Report Posted March 30, 2013 anybody got an update regarding this one loft race,no info on web site as yet

Guest bigda Posted March 31, 2013 Report Posted March 31, 2013 IN ALL HONESTY the new sheds would have looked ok there not sure in a L shape but the community counselor has put a photo have a look 4 march 2013 Howard Docherty no relation to Kevin it does show the birds would be very near to the road, and should a lady driver come along she would panic to be honest if the birds flew past her even the birds coming in would be like a big blanket i am sure yous are of the same opinion as my self 50 doos coming in can look a lot, never mind 500-1000

Rooster J. Cogburn Posted March 31, 2013 Report Posted March 31, 2013 Not a supporter of one loft races at all, but wouldn't decry people who like them and of all the ones I have seen I hope this race fulfils it's full potential and demolishes the YB nat and Inland Nat's out the water. It's about time the SNFC was rid of them
