I was dropping off a couple of youngsters for the race and the converted trailer with aviaries is spotless and birds looking well, had a chat with Billy and he is pushing forward for the young bird loft which requires planning permission, the concrete base for the new loft is in place so once he gets his planning permission I am sure the loft will be erected pronto. It is an absolute cracking site and will be a pleasure to watch birds excersising and coming from the races.

They had a meeting yesterday and refused it .It is on the Scottish Border Council website

so will they make them remove all the stuff off the site now :( :(

Thought if it was on wheels they didn't need planning permission as it can move.

it wont last long going down that road it will just get planners backs up .

they can have that removed as unsightly aswel if they wanted . might take a while but not worth the greif if they did , i have had plenty run ins with planning over the years and can make things difficult if you jump the gun

there is no permission for the trailer and according to the scottish borders web site you can only keep a mobile unit there for 28 days in the year.... which will be up at the weekend..

Lousy jealous bassas that have tried to put a halt to this One Loft Race. They are a *expletive removed* disgrace to the sport.

Have normally found better to stay on good side of planners and not to start without permission approved ,as they can make things so difficult for anyone which now seems to be the case .

I heard a few weeks ago the council were worried about pigeons flying near the road which is quite close to the loft dont know if that is the reason they have knocked Billy back or not? :emoticon-0138-thinking:
